Come and join us in our retreat/ agro / touristic project located close to the city of Vojnic in Croatia.
On 7 hectares of land we grow organic plum trees and accommodate tourists in 3 reconstructed old wooden houses. In 2020 we opened our new common hall for guests which is used for different retreats like yoga, meditation or team building events. Our mission is to offer our guest an amazing stay in this beautiful nature place.
Place is surrounded with forest and orchards with clear blue skies and beautiful air, perfect for anyone looking for a escape from city life.
A great opportunity to learn basics about hospitality, orchard & farm working and organization.
In this moment we are looking for help around house maintenance and keeping the place clean. There is a possibility to stay for a whole season or longer :)

During the season a lot of people goes through our place. Some of them are tourists and some are friends. There is a lot of opportunities for cultural exchange and new friendships.

Ajuda
The work can consist of:
- helping with tourists ( making sure they have all they need, cleaning the house, washing the sheets and towels etc) - depends on the season.
- general farm&orchard work (helping with and learning about organic orchard work like cutting the branches, collecting the branches, fertilizing plum trees, mowing the grass, taking care of the flowers and trees in the garden, chopping the wood, keeping the place clean, fixing small things in and around the houses)
Use of house tools like drill, hammer, ax, moto-trimmer, lawnmower and driving license is a big plus )
Depending on the season we make a plan and can provide more information.

Acomodação
Wooden house shared with other volunteers and with our friend Bif who stays there most of the time with occasional trips to Zagreb for a few days. Bif is a great guy, very funny and relaxed, not so handy with tools...that's why we search for people here :) Also, it would be great for him to improve his English so he can travel the world one day!
House consist of the kitchen, bathroom and two rooms on two floors but basically it is a one spacer because there are no doors separating two floors.
We will provide food for the volunteers. Sometimes we have a cooking schedule so it is expected to cook for the team of 3-6 people. Also it is possible to use a kitchen and prepare food for yourself. Considering a volunteer diet we organize getting the supplies in a market or from other small farms in the surroundings.
A cat Šlapica and a dog Azra also live on the farm and are considered a family members!

5 hours a day, 5 days a week is expected.
In your free time you can explore around and see nice places like Plitvice lakes or rivers Korana and Mrežnica. Capital Zagreb is 1 hour away by car. City of Vojnić, which is 15 min away by car is a small town with couple of bars, local stores, library, post office, ambulance and so on. City of Karlovac which "lies" on four rivers - Korana, Dobra, Mrežnica and Kupa is a nice city with population of 55.000 settlement and is 30 min away by car.
Without a car it is not so easy to move unless you are moving with some of us by our car.
Also you can stay on the farm and relax&enjoy your free time :)
