  We are a married couple who have two properties in the beautiful subtropical area of Brisbane. We live on an island near Brisbane overlooking the water. We enjoy a relaxed lifestyle and are very involved with the arts and social activities. We can accommodate a single person or a couple. We would like assistance with our garden and home tasks and walking our dog.

  There are many island activities where Workaways can join in such as clubs, music and art activities and social gatherings. Our lifestyle is relaxed with opportunities for kayaking, swimming and enjoying the natural bush environment. We are happy to share our knowledge of musical and visual arts and assist with English if needed. We are interested in different cultures and traditions and enjoy learning about other ways of life.

  Ajuda

  We are looking for help with gardening, some household tasks and walking our dog. Sometimes we might need the house and dog minded for a short period of a day or overnight. Spanish speakers would be appreciated as we would like help with our spanish speaking.

  Acomodação

  We have a guest room with a double bed and guest toilet/bathroom so we can accommodate a single person or a couple. The house has two levels, a big verandah and a large garden backing directly onto the water. We can provide all meals with a cooked meal for dinner.

  Algo mais...

  We work part-time from home and have a little dog. Island life is quiet at night so we generally retire around 10.30pm. Smoking is outside only. Transport to the island is by ferry and we travel regularly to the mainland so depending on our schedule we might be able to do pick ups from Brisbane to the ferry and vice-versa to return to Brisbane. There is also public transport to and from the ferry by train and bus from Brisbane. We have two electric bikes you can borrow and we have a car for transport around the island. For your time off there is swimming, kayaking, fishing, cycling or bush walking and many island activities to enjoy such as arts, music, social groups, clubs and cafes.
