  We are a family of seven. Five children. Two adults. And one big dream.
  
  We want to create a beautiful home for our family in the heart of Germany's Harz Mountains.
  
  Not a business. Not an investment property. A real home. A place where our children can grow up, where memories are made and where everyone feels welcome.
  
  We are preparing to bring a historic house from around 1890 in Blankenburg back to life. Step by step. With creativity, patience, plenty of laughter and probably a little chaos. After all, life with five children is rarely quiet!
  
  But this project is about more than renovating walls and restoring old wood.
  
  We believe that some of the best experiences happen when people from different countries come together, share ideas, learn from each other and create something meaningful.
  
  And our region has so much to offer. The beautiful Harz Mountains, endless forests, hiking trails, castles and wonderful historic towns like Quedlinburg and Wernigerode.
  
  We would love to share our family life, our culture and this beautiful part of Germany with you.

  If you join us, you won't just experience a renovation project. You'll experience real German family life. Sometimes loud. Sometimes chaotic. Often funny. And never boring.
  
  We love the idea of bringing people together around a table. Cooking, eating, laughing, sharing stories and discovering traditions from different countries.
  
  We would love to learn about your culture, your language and your way of life. And in return, we can share ours.
  
  Our historic house also offers a wonderful opportunity to discover traditional German craftsmanship, sustainable renovation and the beauty of working with natural materials.
  
  And then there's the Harz.
  
  Forests. Mountains. Castles. Medieval towns. Beautiful hiking trails. Places that tell stories hundreds of years old.
  
  Blankenburg is our home. Quedlinburg, Wernigerode and many other wonderful places are nearby.
  
  We can share our favourite places, local traditions and recommendations for exploring the region independently.
  
  We don't believe cultural exchange happens only when people travel.
  
  Sometimes, the whole world comes to your kitchen table.
  
  That's what we're looking forward to most.

  Seven people. One old house. A thousand ideas. And plenty to do!
  
  We are preparing to transform a historic house from around 1890 into a beautiful home for our family of seven.
  
  And we would love to share this adventure with you.
  
  There will be many different opportunities to contribute, depending on your interests, experience and the stage of our project.
  
  Maybe you enjoy painting, sanding old furniture, restoring wooden doors or bringing creative interior ideas to life.
  
  Maybe gardening is your passion, and you would love to help us turn our outdoor space into a wonderful place for family life.
  
  Or perhaps you simply enjoy organising, decorating, upcycling and seeing how small improvements can make a big difference.
  
  You don't need to be a professional. Curiosity, creativity, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn are much more important.
  
  We want to work together, exchange skills and share experiences. And yes, there will be plenty of opportunities to laugh, enjoy good food and take a break from our projects.
  
  All structural, electrical, plumbing and other hazardous or specialist construction work will be left to qualified professionals.
  
  Our project is still in preparation, so activities and hosting dates will be confirmed once everything is ready.
  
  We don't expect you to build our home for us.
  
  We would love you to become part of the journey.
  
  Because at the end of the day, the most beautiful thing we can build together might not be the house itself.
  
  It might be the memories we make along the way.

  Five children. Four languages. And a world of opportunities to learn from each other! German is our native language, and we can communicate in English. But here is what makes it especially exciting for us. Three of our children are learning Russian at school, and through our extended patchwork family, some of our children also have connections to Mexican culture and are discovering their first Spanish words. Imagine welcoming someone who speaks Russian or Spanish and suddenly turning a school subject into a real conversation! We would love to help you practise German while learning from your language and culture in return. No perfect grammar required. Just curiosity, patience, laughter and the courage to try. Because languages are more than words. They connect people.

  Acomodação

  Your own little place. Right in the heart of our family project.
  
  Our guests will stay in a small, cosy garden bungalow located directly on the property of our historic house.
  
  The bungalow has its own sleeping area, living space, small kitchen and bathroom.
  
  So you'll have something wonderful: your own space to relax, enjoy a quiet evening or simply recharge your batteries.
  
  And at the same time, you're right where our dream is taking shape.
  
  Our family currently lives in an apartment just a five-minute walk away. So we're close enough to spend time together, share meals, exchange ideas and enjoy everyday life, while everyone still has their own privacy.
  
  The bungalow is part of our renovation preparations, and we'll make sure it is safe, comfortable and ready before welcoming our first guests.
  
  A little home beside a bigger dream.

  Blankenburg is a wonderful starting point for discovering the Harz Mountains. Medieval towns, castles, forests, lakes and hiking trails are waiting to be explored.
  
  Whether you love outdoor adventures, photography, history or simply enjoying a quiet afternoon in nature, there is plenty to discover.
  
  We are a lively patchwork family with five children. Our everyday life is colourful, sometimes spontaneous and rarely boring. We love spending time together, but we also respect everyone's independence and privacy.
  
  Your time off is yours. Explore the region, relax in the garden or enjoy your own little space in the bungalow.
  
  We can help you find your way around and share our favourite places. Public transport connections and possible travel arrangements can be discussed before your arrival.
  
  A few things matter to us: mutual respect, honest communication, consideration for our children and a responsible approach to safety.
  
  Our historic house is a renovation project, so some areas may be unfinished or inaccessible. Safety always comes first.
  
  We are still preparing our project and accommodation. Hosting will begin only when everything is ready and safe.
  
  We're not promising luxury.
  
  We're offering something different.
  
  A genuine experience. A beautiful region. And the chance to become part of a family story.
