This was our first Workaway and it was honestly an amazing experience! Mullum is a very calm and friendly town like the land of Lucinda where there is always a good atmosphere and positive energies! Lucinda is a wonderful woman that you would like to meet, she taught us many things and she was always kind and patient with us, we miss her very much

I really enjoyed my stay at Lucinda's place! She's a very nice person, experienced surfer and she can tell you a lot of the beautiful spots around Mullumbimby. The local events and the people I met there and in the house were also a highlight for me. The work was not too hard and I really appreciated the flexibility in the work schedule (Work one

Having had the chance to work in byron area, so close to the beaches AND with such amazing people was definitely one of the highlights of my travels. Lucinda is very kind and made me feel at home. Lucinda's house became home pretty quickly. We felt very welcome. She has a really nice project going on and she is keen on learning and teaching us about renovation at the same time. We had fun working there with her as if we were a team. Given the fact that catching a ride from Mullum to the surrounding beach and Byron and the working hours
… read more beeing flexible, it was easy to have enough time to do fun activities around the area. The food also was awesome. Always fresh food grown locally and what about the mango tree. Plus, she is a very good cook.

We had an amazing week with Lucinda helping to renovate her house! The work was varied, fun and there was always a relaxed atmosphere. It was great seeing Lucinda's house and property transform with every working day. Lucinda entrusted us with the responsibility of prepping the vegetable beds and rebuilding the soil around the perimeter of the fence so that we could plant trees, bushes, flowers, ground cover, and whatever we could forage! … read more earthworks (swales) and taught us some building tricks. It was a bit of a challenge living on a building site, but everyone was friendly, laid back, and made our stay comfortable. We also appreciated the abundance of fresh fruits and veggies that were provided.
