  Hello, we are Armand (44) and Bas (51), we are from the Netherlands and have been living permanently in France since November 2019. In the Netherlands we have led a busy and hectic life with our own company, which is why we have chosen to approach things differently in 2019.
  
  Our domain has existed since the end of the 16th century (+/- 1580) and is located in the village of Saint-Priest-Les-Fougères and belongs to the Dordogne department (24). The place is part of the Nontron district in the Nouvell-Aquitane region and is therefore located in the southwest of the Dordogne in the Parc Naturel Régional Périgord-Limousin, a large nature reserve with many forests, lakes and mountains that is also called Périgord -Verts de green Périgord is mentioned.
  
  It was originally founded in late 1595, has its own 20 hectare forest and a large reservoir for the water mill that was previously used as a blast furnace.
  
  We are currently busy renovating the buildings, maintaining the land, the forest and the lake. We are also renewing the locks of the lake and we have pumped the lake for maintenance. In the winter of 2020/2021 we will renovate the Gîte so that it is ready for rental in 2021-2022.
  
  In the last six months we have renovated the first wing of the country house with 2 bedrooms, a large bathroom and a large kitchen. We have also renovated the large swimming pool of 10x5m and installed electricity and water, among other things.
  
  Our goal is to start a small Eco-Campsite of 6 places in 2024 in combination with the rental of 2 Gîtes for a maximum of 10 people. This is quite a job, the permits for the campsite have already been applied for and all helping hands are welcome to make all this happen.

  Hallo wij zijn Armand (44) en Bas (51), we komen uit Nederland en wonen sinds november 2019 permanent in Frankrijk. In Nederland hebben we een druk en hectisch leven geleid met ons eigen bedrijf, daarom hebben we ervoor gekozen om het in 2019 anders aan te pakken.
  
  Ons domein bestaat al sinds het einde van de 16e eeuw (+/- 1580) is gelegen in het dorpje Saint-Priest-Les-Fougères en behoort tot het departement Dordogne (24). De plaats maakt deel uit van het district Nontron in de regio Nouvell-Aquitane en ligt daarmee in het zuidwesten van de Dordogne in het Parc Naturel Régional Périgord-Limousin een groot natuurgebied met veel bossen, meren en bergen dat ook wel Périgord -Verts de groene Périgord wordt genoemd.
  
  Het is oorspronkelijk gesticht eind 1595, heeft een eigen bos van 20 hectare en een groot reservoir voor de watermolen die vroeger als hoogoven werd gebruikt.
  
  Op dit moment zijn we druk bezig met het renoveren van de gebouwen, het onderhouden van het land, het bos en het meer. Ook vernieuwen we de sluizen van het meer en hebben we het meer leeggepompt voor onderhoud. In de winter van 2020/2021 zullen we de Gîte renoveren zodat deze klaar is voor verhuur in 2021-2022.
  
  In de afgelopen zes maanden hebben we de eerste vleugel van het landhuis gerenoveerd met 2 slaapkamers, een grote badkamer en een grote keuken. We hebben ook het grote zwembad van 10x5m gerenoveerd en onder andere elektriciteit en water aangelegd.
  
  Ons doel is om in 2024 een kleine Eco-Camping van 6 plaatsen te starten in combinatie met de verhuur van 2 Gîtes voor maximaal 10 personen. Dit is een hele klus, de vergunningen voor de camping zijn al aangevraagd en alle helpende handen zijn welkom om dit alles te realiseren.

  We are looking for Workawayers and Vanlifers who want to work with their hands, whether you have two left or two right hands, it is more the will and the commitment that should make it fun. Building experience is therefore not necessary!
  
  There is always something to do on a domain of 25 hectares! Are you interested in helping us with the following jobs?
  
  * Logging, sawing, shredding and stacking;
  * Maintenance of the waterways, dam and canals;
  * Lawn mowing and weeds;
  * Tree maintenance, pruning, care and trimming of the ivy;
  * Painting (spring and autumn);
  * Maintenance, cleaning and cleaning of the swimming pool;
  * Taking care of the dog, washing and walking.
  
  Furthermore, we can always use Workawayers who can do "something" more than just a little bit of help. If you are good at bricklaying, carpentry, building, roof decks (slate), welding, painting and other (architectural) skills, then you are also very welcome.
  
  With regard to the financial compensation for the work performed that is in line with the market at least the minimum hourly wage for France, proper mutual agreements must be made in advance so that no misunderstandings arise. If you have your own idea about this, we would like to ask you to share it with us.

  Wij zijn op zoek naar Workawayers en Vanlifers die met hun handen willen werken, of je nu twee linker- of twee rechterhanden hebt, het is meer de wil en de inzet die het leuk moet maken. Bouwervaring is dus niet nodig!
  
  Op een domein van 25 hectare is altijd wel wat te doen! Heb je interesse om ons te helpen met de volgende klussen?
  
  * Houtkappen, zagen, versnipperen en stapelen;
  * Onderhoud van de waterwegen, de dam en de kanalen;
  * Grasmaaien en onkruidwieren;
  * Boomonderhoud, snoeien, verzorgen en knippen van de klimop;
  * Schilderen (voorjaar en najaar);
  * Onderhoud, schoonmaken en reinigen van het zwembad;
  * Verzorgen van de hond, wassen en wandelen.
  
  Verder kunnen we ook altijd Workawayers gebruiken welke "iets" meer kunnen dan alleen wat handjes hulp. Kun je goed metselen, timmeren, bouwen, dakdekken (leisteen), lassen, schilderen en andere (bouwkundige) vaardigheden dan ben je eveneens van harte welkom.
  
  Over de financiële vergoeding voor de verrichte arbeid dat markt conform is aan minimaal het minimum uurloon voor Frankrijk dienen vooraf goede onderlinge afspraken gemaakt te worden zodat er geen misverstanden ontstaan. Heb je hierover een eigen idee dan willen we je vragen dit met ons te delen.

  Acomodação

  We offer Workawayers and Vanlifers the possibility to spend the night at the Domaine free of charge with, for example, your own camper, campervan or tent including electricity. It is also possible to stay in our large country house (maison de campagne) where we have two bedrooms with various single and double beds as well as a bunk bed also including WiFi. The bedrooms have a gas heater for the cold nights. The sanitary facilities are of course a hot shower with washbasin and a toilet.
  
  As general areas we have a large kitchen where we can cook and eat together, this is also the room where breakfast and lunch are enjoyed. There is also a sitting and living room with wood stove and TV to get through the evening and possibly play games together or read a book.

  We bieden Workawayers en Vanlifers de mogelijkheid om kosteloos op het Domaine te overnachten met bijvoorbeeld je eigen camper, campervan of tent inclusief elektriciteit. Het is ook mogelijk om in ons grote landhuis (maison de campagne) te verblijven alwaar we twee slaapkamers hebben met diverse 1- en 2-persoons bedden alsmede een stapelbed eveneens inclusief WiFi. Op de slaapkamers is een gaskachel aanwezig voor de koude nachten. Als sanitaire voorzieningen zijn vanzelfsprekend een warme douche met wastafel en een toilet aanwezig.
  
  Als algemene ruimtes hebben we een grote leefkeuken alwaar we gezellig samen kunnen koken en eten, dit is ook de ruimte alwaar het ontbijt en de lunch genuttigd worden. Verder is er een zit- en woonkamer met houtkachel en TV aanwezig om de avond door te komen en eventueel gezamenlijk spelletjes te doen of een boek te lezen.

  There are many castles in the area and you can follow the route of Richard the Lionheart. There are many medieval towns, cozy little villages and many sports activities such as canoeing, rock climbing, swimming, walking, cycling and climbing among the trees.
  
  Furthermore, there are some larger cities such as Limoges, Perigueux and Brive la Gaillard at approximately 30 - 45 minutes from the domain, where Mac Donalds, the BurgerKing, a Shopping Center and Auto Boulevard.

  In de omgeving liggen veel kastelen en kun je de route van Richard Leeuwenhart volgen. Er zijn veel middeleeuwse plaatsen, gezellige kleine dorpjes en veel activiteiten op het gebied van sport zoals kanoën, rotswandklimmen, zwemmen, wandelen, fietsen en tussen de bomen klimmen.
  
  Verder liggen er op circa 30 - 45 minuten vanaf het domein enkele grotere steden zoals Limoges, Perigueux en Brive la Gaillard alwaar een Mac Donalds, de BurgerKing een Shopping Center en Auto Boulevard zijn.
