  Hi, we're Mina and Vlad.
  We looked at a lot of places before we chose this one. Guria won. Pigs on the streets, nuts falling from trees nobody has time to pick, mountains behind you and the Black Sea somewhere ahead. The kind of place that makes you wonder why you ever lived differently.
  We're restoring an old house and building new structures alongside it — earthen walls, a permaculture garden, infrastructure that doesn't exist yet. Everything we do here is slow, considered, and built to last. No shortcuts, no greenwashing. Just good materials, good decisions, and good people.
  That's the part we can't do alone.
  We're looking for people who get real satisfaction from making something with their hands — and want to do it somewhere that makes it worth it.

  Between us we carry Korean, German, and Romanian. The table at Mango House reflects that — and so do the conversations around it.
  We cook together, we eat well, and we're genuinely curious what you bring from your corner of the world. Food has always been how we've connected with people across cultures. We hope it works the same way here.
  We'll share everything we know about building with earth — and we want what only travellers can bring: different eyes, different stories, a different way of looking at the same problem.
  The Black Sea is close. The Caucasus is on the horizon — impressive enough to stop you mid-sentence.

  Ajuda

  The first things we're tackling together: a shared outdoor kitchen, a septic system, water connections and pipes, and stabilising the old house before time does any more damage. After that, earthen walls, a permaculture garden, a meditation platform — the place takes shape from there.
  Building we do side by side. You'll learn natural building hands-on — cob, earthen plaster, adobe — and if you have any background in carpentry there's real tasks here that will stretch and develop those skills further.
  
  Cooking is a big part of life at the house. We eat together on weekdays — three meals, shared ingredients, different hands in the kitchen. If you love cooking for a group, experimenting with local Georgian produce, and making a table feel like something — this is your place.
  Everyone takes part in keeping shared spaces clean and the place running smoothly.

  We speak English, German, and Romanian. Georgian is something we'd love to learn — if you speak it and enjoy teaching, you'll be very welcome here.

  Acomodação

  You'll have a private room with a bed — or a double room if you're coming as a couple or with a friend. The bathroom and kitchen are shared with the house. Running water, clean and functional.
  The house is old and full of character — we're restoring it carefully, keeping what's worth keeping. Your space is yours. We respect privacy and understand that after a day of physical work, sometimes you just want to close a door.
  We eat together on weekdays — three meals a day, cooked as a group with shared ingredients. Weekends are free, the kitchen is yours.
  Long-term guests feel most at home here. The longer you stay, the more the place becomes yours too.

  Algo mais...

  Guria is rural and that's the point. Three times a week a marshrutka connects the village to Ozurgeti — from there Tbilisi and Batumi are easily reachable by shared taxi or bus. There's also a marshrutka to the seaside. We'll help you figure out the logistics when you arrive.
  Batumi is worth a weekend — sea, architecture, good food. Tbilisi is a few hours away and will stay with you long after you leave.
  Life here is sociable but unhurried. Evenings are loose — sometimes a long dinner, sometimes chess, sometimes everyone does their own thing. Both are equally welcome. No rules beyond common sense and treating shared spaces with care.
  One thing worth knowing: village life in Georgia has its own rhythm and customs. Locals are warm and generous — a little curiosity and openness goes a long way. Most people who come here find that the best part.
