We are an Austrian-German Community located in Codo Del Pozuzo, Huanuco, Peru.
Our families immigrate to this area of the Peruvian Amazon almost two hundred years ago from Austria and the South of Germany.
This place is full of nature. We have a natural reserve, waterfalls, indigenous communities, rivers, streams, etc. Our volunteers will enjoy the beautiful nature of the Amazon Rainforest!

Volunteers will learn about our customs and traditions.
Our students are willing to teach volunteers some Spanish lessons.
Our local host family is also willing to teach volunteers to cook some Peruvian dishes.
Volunteers can explore the rainforest. They can go swimming in the rivers and waterfalls. Volunteers can also visit a native community. Moreover, they can go trekking, camping, fishing, birdwatching, fruitpicking, chocolate making, etc.
There are also other different villages around that volunteers can visit.
Ajuda
We need volunteers for teaching English, German or, Environmental Education.
Volunteers also can help us in other activities depending on their skills such as, medical assistance, wildlife conservation and investigation, reforestation, making and editing videos, digital marketing, publicity, gardening, construction, etc.
We will provide a volunteering information document with more details about these activities.

Acomodação
We provide a rustic cabin (hut) where volunteers share a dorm (3 people). We also have 2 double bed rooms.
We also provide bedsheets, pillows, blankets, mosquito net and tents for camping trips.
Our shower and toilet are located in our backyard. They are make with concrete and have proper doors. The toilet can be flushed.
We do not provide food, but we provides a full equipped kitchen where volunteers can prepare their own food.

We provide internet 24/7, but it can get slow sometimes because other volunteers use it. We recommended to digital nomads to buy a postpaid Peruvian simcard (Claro company). You pay less than US$20 dollars per month and get about 120 gbs of fast internet. CLARO is the company with best internet connection in this area.
