Welcome !! My name is Timothy I have a hobby which is a small ranch in West Cork ( wild altlantic way) 1 mile from town of schull. I live in the neighbourhood farmhouse adjacent the cottage accommodation.
It's truly a idilic area in ireland with a landscape that has a rugged beauty that is unique.
I carry some horses on it but my particular interest is Kerry bog ponies .
I protect this breed and have a particular interest in preserving them .
All my ponies are friendly and good natured and some require extra handling to prepare for shows or inspection .
So I require a person that has experience with horses to do some light training with the ponies eg
Grooming and leading ponies .
Getting them to walk and trot .
Experience is crucial
Some fence painting & gardening maintenance also would be great .

To help handling grooming ponies so they can walk and trot with a lead rope .
Some fence rails always need some painting & garden maintenance.
I'm pretty flexible with hours once we both can achieve our aims .
I will provide a cottage independent to Ranch house for you to stay . I will also provide meals or allowance for shopping
I'm eager to hear if you have any proposals and hopefully we can accommodate each other and everyone has a memorable experience.

I found Penny to be very reliable . She worked well with the ponies & Horses and showed genuine interest in their well being & care .
She was very responsible even when I had to leave the ranch at times she carried out her tasks with efficiency.
I genuinely wish her great luck in her adventures… read more
Despite her young age was extremely capable in all her work challenges .
Svea was a pleasure to have as a homestay . Always interested and willing to help at any hour if required.
Very easy with horses and ponies .
I would highly recommend Svea .

I stayed for about 4 weeks (I think that is the minimum required to get to know the ponies), in a small and cosy cottage next to his house, at the foot of a beautiful hill.

I had my independent cottage with a view on the pony’s fields while Timothy was staying at the main house just next door. For food he gave me an allowance and I was free to cook for myself.
