Laurine & Vincent’s farm as first workaway experience that gave us a wonderful welcoming with great hospitality. It is set in the mountainside with stunning sunsets and beautiful views with fresh air and water in nature. And No mosquitos( so we can have dinner outside with the view of the mountains and sunset)! … read more were very cute and had fun with my son. The housework and yardwork was not too difficult yet calming and Laurine kept suggesting to take breaks. Everyday we went down the pond for a swim to cool off during the hot summer hours. My son loved playing with the boys and kitty cat Yuca.
Vincent is a fantastic architect & a passionate beekeeper. I learned a lot about bees and how to organically keep them and the honey making process. We got to jar the honey and put labels on them and check the bee hives for parasites.
Laurine is a well educated highschool teacher who wants to spread the knowledge of eco farming. She is also a fantastic cook making nutritious healthy meals and she accommodated our food to be gluten free! We loved the daily homemade yogurt with miel, elderberry Champaign and homemade mixed berry ice-cream! I even got to help and bake and cook in her wonderful kitchen. We emersed ourselves in the family activities and meals and meet extended families whom were all welcoming and pleasant. I feel lucky to crossed paths with such a wonderful family and learn about the French culture.
I would most definitely recommend staying with Laurine and Vincent and help out at the farm, children & bee sites & learn about organic permaculture. Many people come again, and I would like to return as well!

J'ai fait différentes activités : garde d'enfants, désherbage du champ de houblon, travail en apiculture, ce qui m'a beaucoup plu comme mélange. Merci à vous ! I am grateful to them for always teaching me about the beekeepers' work in a polite, gentle and easy-to-understand way.
During my stay they have given me many new and special experiences.
I have had the opportunity to speak about my country at children’s school. We cooked and ate Japanese food and enjoyed together.
There is a beautiful church in the nearby town and we went to the weekend market with them.
The landscape in the neighbourhood of their house is also wonderful and beautiful. I also enjoyed walking with them in the forest and playing with their curiosity.
And how lovely the children are! I love them, they are interested in many things and they are so kind. I will never forget the time I spent with them.
The whole family is lovely and I could always feel the warmth. It is a treasured encounter for me. I would like to see them again.

I stayed with Vincent and Laurine for almost 3 weeks and I only have positive things to say about the time we spent together. They really included me in their family life and were always concerned about my well-being and with the richness of my experience with them. … read more fascinating: assisting in brewing, beekeeping, chocolate making, and being with the kids, which they rarely asked me to do but, usually, whenever I could I would do it because for me it was always a pleasure to play with their lovable kids, Zachary and Basile, and I never looked at it as a task. Laurine and Vincent took me to see snow for the first time, I visited some nearby villages with Laurine and the kids, I got to meet their neighbors and other friends from the village as well as Vincent’s parents, I went for a walk in the forest with the teachers and kids of the local school, and so much more!! Overall, it was a really memorable experience and I’m sure that we’ll meet again soon. I stayed with Laurine, Vincent and Zachary for 3 weeks in March and had an absolutely wonderful experience with them. They are incredibly kind and interesting and passionate people and were so happy to share their lives, their home and their delicious food with me :) They made sure from the beginning that I felt a part of the family, and were
… read more always interested in making sure that I was able to learn about and experience the things I was interested in.
The tasks were easy and fun and spanned from taking care of adorable Zachary, weeding, mulching, planting trees, painting beehives, feeding chickens, etc. Laurine and Vincent have a great social network and I got to visit their extended family several times, as well as accompany them to concerts and dances and mass and on beautiful hikes.
This has been such a beautiful and immersive experience, and I feel beyond lucky to have stumbled upon this family and this region.
Thank you Laurine, Vincent and Zachary. I miss you three. I can't wait to be back one day and see the development of all of the wonderful projects... :)

The work was really light and consisted mostly of taking care of Zac, a bit of cleaning up around the house and some easy help in the garden. Zac could be a handful but he's also very cute and lively and Laurine or Vincent were always around in case I needed

Laurine is a very gentle person and always checked in with me to aks if everything was alright(I really appreciated that, thank you Laurine!!). She also taught me a lot about the region, about organic products and about making icecream which was very cool!
Vincent let me help him with checking in with and feeding the bees. He also let me give him a hand with producing his own beer; Both was super interesting:)
I really wanted to improve my French and both Laurine and Vincent were super patient with me and helped me a lot.
