  Hello, we are a family of 4 - my husband, myself and our two kids. Martin is 2 years old and his little brother Noel is 4 months old. We live in the beautiful lake of Constance region where the Alps are not far away. We love meeting new people from different cultures, listen to their stories and learn from them. My husband works in the area of health and I used to work in the area of education before the children. We are both very open and curious to new ideas/mindsets/attitudes. We have been travelling a lot but now we try to settle down at the place of my ancestors where we are surrounded by mountains, the lake and the beautiful Western Austrian landscape. Our place is located at the border to Germany, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Italy, it only takes 5 minutes to Germany and 30 minutes to Switzerland. It is the ideal starting point to undertake hikes but also short trips to different countries, cities and nice places in the nature. What is very important to know for workawayers is the fact that we go to bed rather early because the days are quite long with small children and work on top, for this reason we prefer to accommodate someone who also enjoys silence in the evening and who doesn´t want to stay out too long. Our days start between 7:30-8:00am and there is always some noise of children in the house. Please be aware of this when getting in contact with us :-) We are looking for one or max. 2 workawayers who could help out with either 1) craftwork and interior design, or 2) the household, laundry, cleaning, and playing with children or 3) gardening. We expect the workawayer to clean and tidy up at least his/her own stuff on a daily basis which includes the kitchen, dining room, bathroom, and of course the private sleeping room. We would very much appreciate if the workawayer could cook sometimes so that we learn more about recipes from around the world. What is important to our family is sustainability, nature, good relationships, trust, openness, curiosity, adventure, proactivity, movement/sports but also leisure.

  Ajuda

  We rent the house of my parents, and little by little it is getting our personal touch. We are about to renew the garden as well and to equip it with interesting places for the children, e.g. with a children’s playhouse, a rabbit hutch but also to set up a flower and vegetable garden. There would be some tasks related to the garden/house/household and/or to taking care of the children and playing with them. Since always one of us is going to be working from home, this person will also be present while the workawayer will be spending time with our kids. Of course it is also possible to go for a walk with us and the children - there is a beautiful path passing our house which leads through the fields. It would also be nice to undertake some trips together, may it be a trip to the weekly market in the city nearby, going swimming in the lake, going for a trip in the nature etc. Also it would be nice if you cook sometimes, help with making the laundry, cleaning the kitchen/bathroom, tidying up a bit...to do some little tasks around the house etc. whatever fits your interest and talents - we can discuss beforehand :-)

  Regarding meals, we will of course provide breakfast and also lunch, sometimes we will provide dinner as well, however at least 2 meals a day. Breakfast is not served, we rather ask workawayers to just choose from the offer we got in the kitchen and to prepare it themselves according to their needs

  We have a decent wi-fi connection in our house, however we usually turn off the wifi at night.
