  At the moment we are two families, living with seven kids the off grid life dream between cork-oaks and olives, in the middle of the beautiful Serra da São Mamede.
  
  Before we settled we used to travel a lot and are loving it to meet and welcome new people here :)
  
  Our aim is to live environmentally sustainable, self-sufficient and reduce our footprint as much as possible. We´re slowly creating a permaculture foodforest, experimenting with syntropical/agroforestry systems and trying to convert our land into a healthy and peaceful ecosystem.
  That's being said, our second aim is to welcome travelling people and worldschooling families from all over the world - that's why they're normally even more younger and older humans around, which makes it really alive and diverse!
  
  So if you are enjoying spending your days in the middle of nature, getting your hands dirty, feeling happy and fulfilled in the evening, being creative and independent or want to learn new skills - no matter if it's using carpentry tools, permaculture knowledge or natural building technics - this is your chance !
  
  We are a homeschooling our kids, so you need to be aware that there are always kids around. We´re trying to communicate and live together in a respectful and mindful way, attach to the needs of everyone. That means at some days we´re working more and some days less.
  
  That means that we´re not only focused on people who are good handicrafters and gardeners - we are very happy if you like to share your passions, do some creative projects or teaching your favourite music instrument.
  
  If you want, you can take part in our daily life and routine, meeting other alternative people and families from the region.
  
  Because of the sometimes busy and chaotic big family life it´s needed that you´re able to think, act and work independently and don´t mind to be on your own sometimes.
  
  Our property is located near a very small rural portuguese village, which you can easily reach by bike within 5min. There are two small supermarkets, a bakery and a few cafes with free wifi where you´ll find all the basic things you need. To reach the nearby big lake, which is really great to swim and take a break, you´ll need about 20mins by bike.

  You will be able to fully dive and experience the off grid farming life in rural portugal! We are happy share with you all our knowledge about permaculture farming, composting, gardening - using different technices!
  Also you will be able to learn about alternative building technices, such as building with wood, clay and strow - and at the moment about jurtbuilding as well.
  Also the region has many to offer - there are old medieval towns, wonderful hiking and biking tracks, several lakes and rivers to swim in.

  During the upcoming weeks there are waiting garden beds which need to be prepared for the next season, trees want to be planted, our recycled greenhouse want to be finished and of course there's always some clay building

  We are able to offer a caravan with space for two adults (additional two kids are possible too), with a small kitchen and sitting area.
  If you like, there is always space to stay with your tent or with your camper as well.

  You are welcome to work on your own online projects, but we cannot offer a stable wifi connection. If you need help or having questions, don´t hesitate to ask !
