I spent two weeks with Kirsten, Samuel and Char and it was an amazing time. I was immediately welcomed into their home and always comfortable. The New Zealand hospitality is always on display and Castlepoint boasts a wonderful community with generous locals. On some I occasions I got some real amazing exposure to tasks around the farm and Samuel

If you find any of it interesting it never feels like "work" and everything asked of me was more than fair. The beautiful location and Kirsten's cooking/baking skills offer the best dinners (especially if you love local fresh meats). Samuel's hunting demonstrations are another amazing privilege of the workaway experience. I got to learn so much about so many difference processes all while feeling at home. I was entrusted to do my own things during the free time and always invited to join for a beach outing and even scored with the annual horse races. The town is quiet, simple and small; yet it has everything you could ever need. I walked away with so many experiences in such a short time and my stay made me really fall in love with New Zealand and the way of life. I am already planning some logistics in hopes of a return!!

I had a great 2 weeks with Kirsten, Samuel and Charlotte. It was a great experience to stay on a working farm and see how it operated. The work was really varied and interesting and I got the afternoons off to do stuff if I wanted to. Kirsten and Samuel were great hosts, going out of their way to show me activities like hunting, paua diving and

They were very generous and I really enjoyed my time staying with them.

James absolutely exceeded our expectations. He has a very pleasant manner and was very helpful in the household from cleaning and chipping in with cooking meals. He was always keen to give everything a go and we were more than happy for him to work independently.
James was also fantastic with our toddler, always happy to play with her while I was

My stay with Kirsten and Samuel was my ideal farming workstay! They live and work on a commercial farm so I got to see and help out with the daily running of a “proper” farm compared to a lifestyle block which really interested me and was different to other farmstays I had helped out on. There were plenty of dogs which were all really friendly,

The food during my stay was amazing, Kirsten and Samuel both made really nice meals which were sometimes topped off with some of Kirsten’s amazing baking. Additionally, I most enjoyed the hunting (optional of course) with Samuel. I had never been before but going out at sunrise or sunset was very cool and Samuel was great at talking me through the hunting process. Finally, Kirsten, Samuel and their daughter Charlotte couldn't have been more welcoming, friendly and flexible. Best stay in New Zealand.Comentário

Thank you for the wonderful time :)
I stayed for 2,5 weeks and enjoyed the time with Kirsten, Samuel, Carlotte and Rob and Robin so much! They are so welcoming and Charlotte is such a cute little girl.

We had such a good week with Kirstin, Samuel and Charlotte. They have been so welcoming and friendly to us and really let us experience their culture and day-to-day life on a big sheep and kettle farm. We helped in the household and garden, but also got loads of free time to explore the wonderful area and Samuel and Kirstin took the time to show

Hele was fabulous to host! She was very likeable and enjoyed joining in with our family. She was brilliant with our 1yo daughter, who loved Hele the moment she arrived.
She was thorough with tasks and was very motivated to complete them well.
We will all miss her!

I had an amazing time staying with Kirsten, Samuel and their adorable little girl Charlotte. They immediately made me feel welcome and always made an effort to take me along to their activities and show me beautiful spots in and around Castelpoint.
The tasks that I did were diverse, so I never got bored and I was able to take breaks and have a

Also got to see their farm which has a lot of stunning views and and it was so interesting watching Sam move cattle with the help of his dogs.
The second week of my stay I spend with the owners of the farm who are also incredibly kind people with a lovely home. I did various tasks around the house and mostly the beautiful garden and it was never a huge amount of help that was expected from me (whatever I felt up to that day).
In general I would definitely recommend staying at Waio if you're happy with not having a city near you and spending a lot of time exploring the beautiful beaches or playing with little Charlotte (who has been open to having me in her home from day one and is so much fun to spend time with).
Thanks for taking me in!Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.
