We are a couple who, after three years of living in China, decided to return to Serbia by joining the permaculture village project. After living in one of the most urban high tech, and one of the most populated cities in the world we made 360 degrees change in our lives by buying about one hectare of uncultivated land in the least populated, least urbanized and one of the most beautiful parts of Serbia. Surrounded by 450 hectares of oak forest located between mysterious pyramid mountain named Rtanj (1565m) and less famous but also very beautiful Tupižnica mountain (1160m).
Since we are still at the very beginning of our project, the conditions in which we live are very modest. We live totally off the grid . Our current house is an old trailer, electricity provided by solar panels, compost toilet and we get water from outside of the property (for now). The plan for next year is to build a strawbale house.
Help that we need in this year from August to November 2021 are:
* construction of small auxiliary facilities and animal houses
* embankment of the access road to our property
* maintaining the green area of the property and gardening
* sharing ideas of designing our property and the house
Living conditions for volunteers are modest. What we can offer is sleeping in a tent (ours or yours), use of our summer kitchen or three shared vegetarian or vegan meals, use of outdoor shower and compost toilet, charging of phones and laptops, free wi-fi with moderate use. Everything is done without pressure on the days set for work from 3-5 hours a day, if the weather conditions allow it. In our free time, we can go around the area together, go hiking, go to the lake when the days are too hot for work. For now, maximum number of volunteers we can host is 2-3 people per time.

He was with his heart in every job he took, and never complained about anything.
Professional, easy going, easy to communicate, tolerant...
Pity that he couldn't stay longer with us, but we hope he will come back next year! :))
