WORK HARD. PLAY HARD. OPEN YOUR HEART!
Welcome to our self sustainable project.
We are looking for long term volunteers residents (minimum 3 months) to come experience biodynamic living!
It’s a life lesson, a deep meditation, and a love revolution – complete 3-in-1 goodness. We're a humble ecovillage project located in the beautiful Andalucia region in the South of Spain.
The way we farm and live are based on age-old biodynamic principles, which Rudolf Steiner made popular. So we believe greater cosmic forces at play affect the wellbeing of our plants, animals, and ourselves. We do what we can to sync with Nature’s cycles, and send in our best energy. It’s combining yoga, spirituality, good ethics, farming, and living. Welcome to our little love revolution!
We are a non-profit organisation that invests 100% of our proceeds back to our vegetable plot, fruit garden, camping and volunteer programme. To maintain the welfare and comfort of all our volunteers, we are unable to offer monetary payment to our workawayers. You will, however, be fed 3 sumptuous meals daily, and be rewarded with a rich experience of community living, the biodynamic way of life, and strong lifetime bonds. Woohoo!

WE'RE REALLY JUST TRYING TO DO GOOD!
Of course, we understand that going all hippie about our farm and way of living can be a little too “far out” for some. But hey, we’re just a bunch of people who’ve come together in the South of Spain to find a more sustainable way of living and working. And we have a lot of fun doing it!
PLANTING SEEDS FOR A BETTER TOMORROW
As a global community project, we're always a hub for multi-talented individuals with skills, knowledge, and wisdom to offer. When we're not hard at work, we create workshops, dance sessions, yoga & meditation classes, and basically anything that we would like to share as a Tribe. As a volunteer, you'll be able to go home with a rich experience of a culturally diverse communal living, a deep understanding of the principles of biodynamic living, and hopefully, a greater sense of how our every little effort can add up to make the world a nicer, more sustainable place.
YOU ARE A FUNNY FARMER
Here the main role that volunteers take up is what we like to call "Funny Farmers". You will form the cornerstone of our daily activities. Our vegetable plot and fruit garden is what has been keeping us fed and happy, and making everything we do here possible. This is why it’s important for everyone who signs up as a volunteer to be committed during their length of stay. And here's some important information we'd like to share with you, so you know what you're getting into. Brace yourselves beautiful people, we're starting a revolution!
1. FUNNY FARMER – A BIODYNAMIC ARTIST
The Funny Farmer will be initiated into the biodynamic way of life – the highest, most natural form of sustainable farming.
You will help in preparing our medicinal homeopathic potions and feeding them to our crops. We mix herbs, extracts, and minerals to create fertilisers and natural pesticides.
You will also be involved in helping to turn our compost and animal poop into powerful fertilisers. Yes, it smells. Everything is a cycle, and everything is one. So flow with it baby.
You will be learning about how astrology governs our way of farming and living. It might not be your cup of chai, but we’re doing our best to revive the ancient wisdom of biodynamic farming. Try it with us, you’ll see just how well it works!
Love, respect, feed and care for our dogs, cats, chickens, bees and even worms. They are all part of the whole ecosystem and they are as important as all the humans living here.
2. PERMACULTURE GARDENER
Our lovely garden is home to orange trees, olive trees, different vegetables, herbs, nuts, spices, fruits, and flowers. Funny Farmers help to keep them healthy and happy.
This includes watering, weeding, rotation of crops, planting crop cover, trimming, pruning, sowing new seeds and sprouts, nursing etc. You know, all to make our natural community grow well and live well.
3. BLISSFUL BUILDER
During April, May and June, we are looking for handy individuals with experience in construction, to help with the new facilities and projects coming on.
4. ADMINISTRATION AND SOCIAL MEDIA
5. CAMPING AND HELP WITH TOURISTS

EXPERIENCE TRUE COMMUNITY LIVING!
Our volunteers get to sleep in our Shanti Shala, a super cosy volunteer dormitory. In here, you'll get a comfy bed and enough space to get a good night's sleep, every night.
You're also welcomed to come with your own caravans, tents, hammocks, and even make your own shelter. We cook together in the outdoor Soul Kitchen, chill out in the Goji Lounge, and hang out at the Happy Haven. We share a biodynamic compost Magic Toilet, and keep ourselves clean at our outdoor Sexy Shower. Electricity, WIFI, and solar heated clean, filtered water is available 24/7.
Volunteers will be provided with 3 nourishing vegetarian meals and water daily; breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you need more yum yums in between the main meals, such as snacks, drinks, special items, please bring them yourself.
WELCOME TO HQ
Situated beside the scenic protected nature reserve of Doñana, HQ is home to over 2500 goji shrubs, 100 orange trees, 50 olive trees, and some uncultivated land to ensure our biodiversity. We live here with our 2 dogs, Monkey and Sara; our cute kitties, Kozurita, Figo, Dana, Shiva, and Britty; 10 chickens; and guess what, we recently welcomed a new litter of puppies!
Our HQ is located right in between 2 continents – Europe and Africa, 2 countries – Spain and Portugal, and 2 waters – The Mediterranean Sea and The Atlantic Ocean. This meeting point, besides being an important centre of powerful energies, is also the location of one of the ancient Atlantis sites.
Buses go every 3 hours to and from Almonte, a small, charming town just 5 minutes away by bus. Here, you can also get straight buses to Sevilla (Plaza de Armas station) and from there, a shuttle bus to the international airport.
EXPLORE THE BIRTHPLACE OF FLAMENCO
1-hour drive – Sevilla, the Spanish heart of arts, gothic architecture, and culture. Go tapas bar-hopping, explore magnificent plazas, discover the ancient churches, take an evening stroll along the Guadalquivir river, then cosy yourself into a truly authentic flamenco pub and dance your soul out until sunrise.
5 minutes drive – away is El Rocio, the mecca of everything flamenco. No paved roads, only horse carriages, welcome to the Wild Wild West. Be sure to catch the annual Romeria in May, a 2-week giant spectacle which gathers over 100,000 pilgrims to dance, sing, and eat, all to honour the Goddess of life.
5 minutes drive – Step into the World Heritage site of Doñana National Park and find yourself immersed in the astonishing wildlife of Southern Europe. Try to spot the illusive Iberian lynx and catch a glimpse of the splendid flamingos flying across the horizon, as you explore the park’s marshes, forests, beaches, and lagoons.
30 minutes drive – Get a suntan and go for a refreshing swim at what the locals call “The Coast of the Light” or Matalscañas. Watch the towering sand dunes shift in a dazzling dance, and stroll along the 120 km of pristine, sandy beaches. Bring a tent for an overnight camp and watch the wild deer take their night baths in the moonlight.
OTHER LITTLE NOTES
Bring biodegradable toiletries – only natural stuff, super important (e.g. shampoo, shower gel, etc), sunscreen, hat, summer clothes, flip flops, swimwear, sleeping bag, pillow, mosquito repellent, a head torch, and the best vibes. ;)
