We spent about 2,5 weeks with Claudia and her family, we stayed at Alice's (her Mom) place, at wonderful spot above Brig.
We didn't have luck with the weather in the beginning, but we had a lot with our hosts!:) Claudia was a little busy, we mainly worked with Alice, cutting grass, cleaning the stables, making fence, feeding the horses. It was
… read more never too challenging, they always helped us if there was an obstacle. I got to ride different vehicles, what I was really happy about:)
Alice is a great host, makes super delicious food, we of course tried to help, but sometimes she was another level, despite her age, really energetic! I wish my german skin were better, because we could have talk more, but we understood each other in the most important subjects. Working with horses also didn't feel like proper work, because we got some positive energy from this wonderful animals, we made some friends:)
I love the Swiss Alps, and this area has something special besides it's picturesque landscape. I believe its the people living there, not only our hosts but most who we met were really kind and positive human beings:) I was even considering in a long term to move around here... I just need to keep up with the local dialect :D Italy is also really close.
Thank you Claudia for making our trip possible to Zermatt, before our leave ! This is the most touristic place in Wallis, but I have to say, we had many other beautiful hikes (even just around Brig-Glis) in this late spring time, was wonderful with the white mountain tops, and green beneath everywhere, with nice temperatures.

I wish I could've stayed longer, as my time with Claudia and her family was absolutely amazing! All of them are lovely human beings and I really appreciated their care and their trust in whatever I did.

I especially want to thank Alice very much for her hospitality, Elia for our conversations and his adorable humor, the rest of the family for teaching me new knowledge and showing me what a farmers life is like, and ofcourse you, Claudia, for offering this Workaway, your positive energy and all that came along with it!

I spent around 3 weeks with this family this summer and I still reminisce about how great I was feeling there! Claudia has a beautiful, warm personality and she is very open-minded. The boys are very nice too, as well as all the other members of the family I met. They made me feel very welcome. It was my first workaway experience and it exceeded

I was helping mainly with transport of horses, which didnt even feel like working and I enjoyed every minute of it. The valley where she lives is really beautiful and charming, with a lot of stunning views around in the mountains.

it was so much fun with Cloe and Marko. They where allways there for the Kids. And even in the worst snowstorm they helped with the barn. ;-)

Rock on. This was my first Workaway. The third day I was in Brig I fell extremely ill. I was in bed sick as a dog for four days... And it was not even a hiccup for Claudia or her Mom. I came at Claudia's house from october until december. It was awesome :D
Claudia is a really kind, generous, open-minded and smiling person. She directly made me feel comfortable. Her children are lovable too. The oldest one is 15 and is as kind as his mother ;) His little brother is very cute, dynamic and smiling.

I had my own room. I mostly stayed with children at home and cook for them. But I also visited some beautiful places (Lötchental, Zermatt, ...) and did some great walk in the mountains and forests. I also worked with the horses before the winter came. They are nice but a little bit wild ;)
