… read more die Aufgaben selbst aussuchen, da das Wetter noch sehr sonnig war, hab ich die meiste Zeit damit verbracht die Reben von den Netzen zu befreien und Brombeeren auszubuddeln. Fabienne und Martin sind sehr liebenswert und offen, voller Vertrauen überliessen sie mir noch die Gestaltung eines Blumenbeetes. Es war für mich eine große Freude zu sehen, wie Aluna aufwächst; schon nach kurzer Zeit hat sie mich immer mit einem Lachen begrüßt, wenn ich die Türe reinkam und ich hatte so viel Spaß mit ihr zusammen durch das Wohnzimmer zu laufen. I learned so much from them during our nice conversations and they have very interesting stories to tell!
The room was spacious and sunny, comfortable and very quiet you can hear the river flow at night.
I really enjoyed working at the garden, they had all the necessary tools and made the work even more enjoyable and fun! It wasn’t something difficult, you never get tired from working with a view.
Fabienne and Martin are very interested in cultural exchange and like to learn about new cultures, so I used the vine leaves from their garden to cook a traditional Palestinian dish👩🍳
The area is so beautiful with breathtaking views around the house. 10 minutes from the center so can sit by river and enjoy the sun in your free time!

The garden and view of the house are just amazing, I would love to work more in harvesting etc. but the time had already passed. I just got back from my second Workaway experience in Switzerland and stayed 10 days with this wonderful family. I felt very welcome from the start and the communication went very easy. … read more to do and due to the nice weather you could always find me on the steep slopes of the Vineyard, clearing the stone walls. I loved the work and didn't feel any pressure. The region is amazing,the house is very comfortable and cosy and the room for workawayers is big and seperated from their place. It was always a pleasure to enter the living room and to be spoiled with Fabienne's delicious meals. I really had the chance to be part of their daily life. We shared serious talks. personal stories and emotions and felt so comfortable in each others company that we also shared some dancing, singing and crazyness. I had the time of my life here and will come back to this castle-on-the-hill ....no doubt about that!

At every step they were willing to help with making decisions, finding tools and thinking along with us. That made working for them so much fun! We also loved spending some time with Aluna, she's a lovely little girl.
The accommodation was very nice, a private room and shower for us, which gave enough opportunity to get some alone time when needed. The views from our room were spectacular. The surroundings and the area of Roveredo in general are very beautiful. Martin and Fabienne had ideas on what to visit and do in the area, so we visited some great places.

We also had a language exchange because I'm learning German and they are learning Italian so it was very cool to be able to share that.
The food Fabienne prepared every day was amazing!
they are very interested into getting to know the people they're hosting, I felt like part of the family.
Also if you love hiking there's so many hikes that can be done so it's a cool place to explore the swiss Alps, I really enjoyed even just staying in the garden reading because it's a very beautiful and peaceful environment.

We spent a wonderful week with Fabienne and Martin.
Their house is just a little bit outside of Roveredo, we could reach the Village center in a 10 min walk. We had a car, so it was easy to move to the surroundings, the region is beautiful, so green and still fresh in summer.

We could choose on what type of work we wanted to go on, so we went directly on the top of the vineyard and cleaned the paths, rock stairs and fences. The material they have us was in a perfect state, so the job was easy. They were very thankfull and so, it was a real pleasure to help them.
We hope we'll have the opportunity to come back, try the homemade merlot and meet the new family member ♥️

Martin is also so very grounded to earth and enjoys life to the fullest. He bakes the most adorable and mouthwatering sourdough breads with their sourdough-culture called "Johnny-Dough" 😊. We can sure say we haven't tasted a better bread before!!
The work was more of a fun adventure because we really enjoyed it and were sad that we didn't finish it😄 the time passed way too fast!! It exites us how their beautiful house and garden/vineyard is going to develop and we really wish we could have stayed longer❣️
The accommodation is a very nice, big, private and quiet room with a most comfortable bed - we slept truly perfect!!
Fabienne and Martin always gave us ideas what we should visit and see around the area in our freetime. Roveredo is such a cute village with many figtrees around :)) mmh😋
