We are the largest hostel in Villa de Merlo, a small touristic town in the province of San Luis, on the border with the province of Cordoba. The hostel has been running for 11 years now and much of that is thanks to those who have volunteered here to help make the experience enjoyable. We pride ourself on great customer service and our friendly helpful staff. The idea here is to give you a fun experience and help you keep traveling through Argentina!

Cultural exchange is what shapes the experience here. Whether it is sharing music, painting a mural or participating in any of the operating roles in the hostel. We have a large garden and many permaculture projects including a composting system and recycling projects. This is a great opportunity to brush up on your spanish along with gaining hostel management experience, learn to operate a hospitality management system. Also you have the opportunity to learn about the plants and animals of the area. Most importantly you have the opportunity to interchange cultural experiences and make friends from all over the world.

Depending on your individual skills, you will help with reception, park/building maintenance , or housekeeping. 5 shifts a week of 5 hours.

You will get a bed in a shared dorm with sheets, and blankets. There is hot water 24 hours and wifi. Breakfast is included.

On your days off you can go to any of the many creeks and waterfalls within walking distance or a short bus ride. Here there are many parks close by and and a bike path. The main street also has bars and restaurants with live music on the weekends. If you don´t want to go out you have lots of green space to hang out and play an instrument or read a good book.

We had a brilliant time in Merlo and highly recommend working with Collin and his wonderful friends. They have a great hostel with alot of cool people staying and stopping by to hangout and socialise. The work is very manageable and they maintain a very relaxed atmosphere for both staff and guests.
