Hello Workawayers!
Welcome to our family farm in the beautiful Otunui Valley! After a 18+ month break, Kayla and I are thrilled to rejoin the WorkAway community. Our farm is our cherished family homestead, where we strive to grow as much of our own food as possible—please note, it is not a commercial operation.
We’re currently looking for someone with childcare experience who also loves cooking. Our cheerful and chatty two-year-old daughter, Olive, needs a playmate for 2-3 hours a day. She enjoys reading books and playing outside, and we’re sure you’ll find her delightful company!
In addition to childcare, there are other tasks around the farm, including cooking, vegetable gardening, and caring for our sheep and chickens.
Our farm is located 25 minutes west of Taumarunui in a serene, rural setting. Having your own car is advantageous but not mandatory.
If you are trustworthy, friendly, and eager to learn more about sustainable living and food cultivation in New Zealand, we would love to hear from you!

There is a seperate driveway to the farm, there is a carport and power supply where motorhomes / campervans can park / camp. This spot is private from the main house

Ben, Keyla and Olive gave me a very warm welcome in there nice and cosy home.
The work was as expected and very variable so it never got boring.
It was a nice experience and the perfect brake in traveling around new Zealand.
