  Hi, I'm David
  originally from the city of Quillabamba, located in the jungle of Cusco, in this city many years ago we started a tourism project together with a cooperative organization, the objective was to involve small scale coffee, cocoa and tea farmers within the tourism activity, we provided to them some loans, training and assistance. this farmer are organic and fair trade certified.
  
  Currently, as a local travel operator, we continue to promote and work with families in the spirit of continuing to supporting them. As a local company we also offer travel services in southern part of Peru and mainly in the area of Cusco and Machu Picchu. Our speciality is to visit small scale farmers, with whom, we developed coffee and cocoa experiences at their own farms, which allows us to show a little of our culture from the perspective of our diverse agriculture.
  
  At home you can share the common areas with us, Ana, who is my partner and supports us in accounting, and my person, i am in charge of the business. Sometimes there are extra staffs, who helps us with the operative part, this may be depending on the tourism season.
  
  2024: now, as a consequence of the pandemic, Ana had to move to another town to work, the only person who is working from home is me (we have an office in the apartment). now the high season for tourism is starting we plan to work also with some locals so maybe when you decide to join us, there will be another person helping us.

  Cusco is the most important tourist city in Peru and there are a lot to enjoy in it, from home you can organize your adventures to explore: archaeological sites such as Machu Picchu, the sacred Valley of the Incas, Maras, Moray, The Southern Valley, hike the rainbow Mountain and the Humantay Lagoon, visit of traditional and ancient villages like Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero, among others.
  
  In Cusco to get to know the city a little more, we can lend you a bicycle.
  
  the location of the apartment: we are now located in the San Sebastian district, a very traditional neighborhood, no tourists. where you can meet local people, we live near to the main square of this district. sometimes there are some traditional activities there. a nice opportunity to learn about local culture. You may Know Cusco celebrates many festivities during the year and also San Sebastian district is one of these districts where local people organize mainly Catholic festivities. I may suggest visiting the main square on Sundays.
  
  about transportation: in Cusco is easy to find local transport to downtown, also taxis are not so expensive, the average price from the main square to home is 8 soles or 2.5 dollars. local buses are 1 sol. 0.30 dollars. from the house to the main downtown takes about 20 min, it will depend on the traffic conditions and schedule.

  Your support is very welcome! We need to develop the marketing area of ​​our business by using all available tools (social networks etc). Our priority is finishing our website! We need to enhance the SEO of the website (in English & Spanish), make translations or corrections to the English section of the website, and improve the descriptions of our tours. For this, we are currently looking for a content manager and/or SEO expert for adding tours (information) and updating it to contemporary standards. We're also hoping to make videos, and create marketing materials, and a marketing strategy. Among others jobs.

  We can offer you a room within an apartment (room only for 1 person at maximum capacity), and the Volunteer will share one toilet with the host. we have a double bed, a wardrobe, a table, a chair, a small sofa and a bed lamp in the room. You can use the kitchen to prepare your meals as your preference, you can do laundry also, just consider we are living on the fifth floor.
  
  we can offer you only breakfast, you can prepare other meals (lunch and dinner) by yourself, and you can use the kitchen for this purpose. most of the time we have it in a local restaurant close to the house (sometimes at home). The average price for a menu in a local restaurant is 2.5 to 3 dollars.

  Cusco, it is not a big city, so from the house to the main square, it could take you about 20 min. by public transportation. if you plan to walk, this could take you about 50 minutes.
  
  from home, you can walk about 3 blocks to take public transportation. in the Cultura Av. plenty of options, and most of the companies are passing this avenue. also if you plan to move by public transportation at night, you can have more chances of finding transportation on this avenue. most of the time until 11 pm
  
  If you need a taxi, from the main square to the house will cost you between 8 to 12 soles, it will depend on the hour also
  
  
  Cusco as a city and region is a tourist destination so finding new friends will not be a problem for you. In your free time, you can visit archeological sites, hike some mountains, and also visit some ancient towns like Ollantaytambo.
  
  also because we are located in a very traditional district you can visit other no touristic places like the main square of San Jeronimo. on the weekend we can organize for sure one visit to not a tourist place
