Ho avuto la fortuna di passare 4 mesi con Carmen,Manu,Emila ed Oliver.
É una famiglia fantastica, non mi hanno mai fatto mancare nulla e mi hanno regalato momenti di gioia e risate, dal gesto piu piccolo al piu grande.
In Carmen ho trovato una persona con cui confidarmi ed aprirmi, sempre pronta darti consigli su come affrontare qualunque

É sempre sorridente e disponibile.
( A volte ha bisogno della giusta motivazione per andare a nuoto dopo una giornata intensa di lavoro)
Manu é un ottimo cuoco e musicista.
Gli piace molto scherzare, ma sa anche essere serio nel momento del bisogno.
(Non ha un bel rapporto con la macchinetta per tagliare i capelli)
Insieme hanno cresciuto due meravigliosi bambini,e avendo due genitori come loro,inutile spiegare l'educazione e l'amore che trasmettono verso il prossimo.
I compiti che ha il workawayer sono molto facili.
Mantenere la casa ordinata e pulita ed accompagnare,riprendere i bambini dalla scuola e portarli ad eventuali corsi extrascolastici.
Principalmente stare con loro fino a che non tornano i genitori da lavoro.
Ai bambini piace molto disegnare,leggere,giocare con le costruzioni e montare "capanne" per la casa!
(Sicuramente non ci si annoia mai)
Si ha molto tempo libero in cui si puó girare la citta di Granada che é molto affascinante, oppure segnarsi a corsi o attivitá!
In conclusione é stata un'esperienza super positiva dove ho conosciuto persone fantastiche come loro ed i propri cari.
Torneró presto a trovarvi, vi voglio bene!

Although it has been a year ago now, I remember that amazing time with Carmen, Manu, Emi and Oli so well! :) Those 3 months went by so fast and I felt so welcome in this family. They always made sure I had everything I needed and took care of my well-being. I got the best meals and tapas - at home and at the restaurant (it turned out to be my
… read more favorite tapas place in town!). Carmen and I shared a lot of conversations and lunches together and she always made sure I was fine. Manu Is a great chef and the coolest musician, I highly recommend enjoying one of his gigs! Both of them are such inspiring people and their lifestyle is something I could learn a lot from!
My time with the kids was so special. Oliver is the cutest baby in town and he is smiling all the time:) Bringing him to school in the mornings has always been a great start of the day and we spent the afternoons with playing at home and in the park. And with eating a looot of raisins :D
Emilia is such a smart and cool kid, her knowledge is admirable. I enjoyed a lot of drawing and “cooking” sessions with her. Apart from that, she loved sorting my room – I barely had to clean up myself! Although we didn’t speak the same language, she was very patient with me and we managed to communicate pretty well! She also tried to teach me some Spanish
(I had a hard time learning it though– sorry Manu :D). I always had Carmen’s and Manu’s support and they made sure everything was fair.
Granada itself is incredible, I fell in love with the city immediately. There are so many different areas, nice places & great people I got to know - there is always something to do. The vibe of this city is so special and I’m glad I could experience living there, I loved it! The location of the apartment couldn’t be better, it’s right in city center.
Thank you so much for trusting me and for all the conversations, meals, & time we shared. To all the workawayers out there, take your chance to meet this family!!!! :)
Although I already managed to visit in the meanwhile, I can’t wait to hopefully meet all of you again soon. The next trip to Granada is already planned, see you there! <3

This was by far the best travel experience I have ever had!! Truly, Carmen and Manu are two of the sweetest, most caring, and inspiring people I have ever met and I feel really lucky to have been able to spend 3 months with their beautiful family. If I could have spent a year there I would have!! I spent a bit of time in the mornings and afternoon
… read more with the kiddos Emilia and Oliver, they are both hilarious, so sooo smart and full of life and energy! We all grew very fond our walks to school, and after school playtime at the park - they are very adventurous! If I ever struggled or needed help taking care of the kids, Carmen was always more than willing to give advice and assured me that it was all going to be ok :) I also helped with a bit of light housework but mainly time with the kids during the week. The apartment is very clean, you have your own space, and it is in the ideal spot - right in the city center of Granada. When I wasn't with the kids or family, I was off exploring - getting tapas, meeting new friends, walking by foot everywhere and experiencing real Andalucían culture. The food at the house and in the city is incredible, a must have tapas spot would be Manu's unique and oh soooo tasty restaurant. You will definitely leave with a smile! I honestly can't say enough how much I appreciated Carmen and Manu welcoming me into their house with absolute love and care, they always made sure I had whatever I needed. I have made connections I will cherish for the rest of my days, and friendships that I hope will continue to grow. … read more and very respectful of common spaces in the house, finding a great balance between wanting to share her life with us -which gave us the opportunity to have intimate conversations over lunches and dinners - and also being mindful about us having our own family time. Esther is very calm and patient, which worked perfectly with the kids, especially with the baby. Thanks to her reliability, serenity and confidence, I could walk out the door trusting that I was leaving my baby in good hands. Esther is a very thoughtful person - which is something that I really value - and always made sure that I did not have to worry about her wellbeing, which I really appreciated. We were also lucky to try some of Esther's yummy recipes that we sometimes cooked together, which was fun! Esther is, without a doubt, a super easy going person as well as sweet, sensitive, generous and very aware of the complexity of our world. An inspiring person to be around! ❤

… read more comfortable with the hours and was mindful of making everything fair. I had plenty of time and freedom to enjoy my experience in Granada to the fullest extent. Carmen even helped me make friends and find things to do. Also, Manu's bar/restaurant is such a gem! The work itself, spending time with Emi and Oli was always so fun. I loved spending time with Oliver. Even when things got harder I always could fall back on Carmen or Manu for help. Emilia is wise beyond her years, sassy, creative, and is so loving toward her little brother. I didn't spend as much time with Emilia but grew to love her quickly and was lucky enough to play many games with her. The location is ideal. In the center of everything and Granada is a place I believe everyone should experience at some point. I had everything I needed + more. I was extremely well fed (both parents are amazing cooks) and even learned a few things in the kitchen. Carmen and Manu, thank you for everything. Their appartement is very comfortable and right in the middle of Granada and every day I had the opportunity to explore this amazing city.
