We are a family: Mum Lucia, Dad Manuel, Sofia and Dante.
I am a journalist, specialized in event organization & company communication and my husband Manuel is a film director. We love our country, Italy, and we will be delighted to share different aspects of our culture with people from abroad: arts, landscapes, language and… good food & wine!

We are looking for a girl that above all will take care of our 2 children: Sofia, 8 years old, and Dante, that is 4 years old.
We dont have a regular time table: that’s why we are looking for a person that can support us with the children and with some small housworks.
We need help for Dante, especially, in the morning and at the dinner time.
My husband and I have the offices downstair so one of us will be always at home and the girl will never be alone with the children.
Usually Sofia will be back home around 16.

We presume that the girl will be engaged for nearly 5 hours per day (free weekend to do what you like).

Help requested: we need a girl that take care of Dante and speak english with Sofia when she is at home…
She should also support us in small housworks

We live in a single, big house with garden in Zevio (14.000 people), a town not far away from Verona (just 13 km). My husband and I have the officies downstairs
We provide a nice, single bed room at the first floor with our family. Internet wifi is included.
Bathroom and kitchen will be shared: we will provide food and drinks.

Our accomodation is well located: just out the gate you can reach some shops, supermarket, pharmacy, bank, hospital, church, yoga center, café…
By bus you can reach Verona, the city of Romeo and Juliet, in 30 minutes. By bus you can also reach the rail station and choose among many destinations: Venezia, Milano, Padova, Bologna, Mantova…
Bytheway also all around Verona there many nice place to visit: Garda Lake (Lazise, Bardolino, Garda, Malcesine….), Lessina (our hills and mountais) , Monte Baldo or Monte Carega if you like soft trekking. Also the see is not distant (Jesolo and Caorle are very nice).
Every sunday in Zevio there is a huge market where you can find many things (food, clothes…with a multiethnic touch).
Our house is closed to Adige, wihich is the second longest italian river. All around Adige there is “Parco dell’Adige” a very nice place where people are used to walk and run.
Zevio is also famous for its apples, the tipycal colture of this area: very sweet and juicy.
The province of Verona is famous in the world for wine production (Amarone della Valpolicella and Soave are the most rappresentative wines of our region).

My experience with this family was amazing! I stayed there for one month and one week, from may to june. The work wasn't hard, my routine from monday to friday was: getting up 7:30-7:45, after the kids went to school and the parents to work, I would wash the dishes and tidy up the kitchen a bit after breakfast. Then I had free time until 4pm, when… read more I had to pick up Sofia from school. I went home with her, made her something to eat, played, read or had a picnic in the backyard with her. At around 5pm we went together to pick up Dante from school. Afterwards, we went to the park and played a lot. Sometimes we also went to the library next to Dante's school, it's a wonderful place, the kids loved it and so did I. Around 7 pm, we went back home, played a little, then the children took a bath and then we all had dinner, which Lucia or Manoel made. After that, the parents took the kids to bed, and I tidied up the kitchen, washed the dishes, and took out the garbage. So I went to bed too. Also, Lucia asked me if I could help her with the ironing, so I agreed to iron once a week. That was all, once you get familiar with the routine, it's really easy and doesn't take a lot of time, and you have a lot of free time for you.

I had Saturdays and Sundays off, so I always planned weekend trips. I went to Verona, Venice, Sirmione, Reggio Emilia, Cinque Terre and Florence. And everytime Manoel helped me, picking me up at a city nearby, because then I could spend more time having fun and take a bus that arrived later. I had wonderful experiences and will never forget!

Tips: Right next to the school and in front of the park there is a delicious ice cream, the place is called “Daniel”. The town is small, so everything is close by walking or by bike. Also, there is a park, good to go for a walk, or to ride a bike, or just to stay and relax. It’s a quiet and small city good if you want a peaceful time and also close to big cities - it's easy to go by bus to Verona and from there your can take trains everywhere. Just be careful because the schedule of the bus on sundays change. You can use the app "Ticket bus Verona", to see the times and also to buy the tickets.

I want to thank this family for receiving me and being so kind! Lucia, thank you for everything, I will always remember all the wonderful conversations and reflections we had together about life. Manoel, thanks for your help picking me up many times in San Giovanni and giving me valuable informations. Sofia and Dante, thank you for all the happy moments we had, playing and enjoying our time together, and also for teaching me italian! Thank you all, I wish you all the best and hope to see you again some day! Take care, bye 
