Lukas and Marisa stayed with us for approximately ten days. They were a pleasure to have about and we enjoyed their company. The kids enjoyed listening and dancing to their music on the saxophone and guitar and we had lots of laughs. Marisa and Lukas were both naturally good with the kids and we had to remind the kids to give them some space at
… read more times! I loved the nights when they cooked dinner! They were very efficient and thorough with the maintenance jobs on the farm and did a great job taking wire off fences etc. They weren't afraid to have a turn at drenching the lambs - great attitude. We still hope you'll pop back in March!

We stayed at Suzy‘s and Richmond’s place for one week. It was our first workaway experience and we are glad that we were able to get to know this lovely family. Suzy and Richmond are both open-minded, friendly and interested hosts. They insured that we have everything we need and created a free-and-easy atmosphere. We are in love with Hannah,
… read more Sophie and Sam! Since the first day we arrived they took us by the hand and enchanted us with all of their unique personalities. The way they danced to the saxophone never fails to put a smile on our face. Richmond gave us a great impression of their lifestyle by taking us around the farm and explaining different procedures from fencing to animal care. We mostly worked outside and were allowed to take on diverse jobs and were happy to see some great achievements at the end of the week (Overall we loved working with and by the animals). Thank you Suzy for showing us a piece of your local culture by letting us be a part of the Caterton Christmas parade. The event was indeed something we haven’t expected in November!

Sissi stayed with us for about 10 days. She is easy going and willing to help out with any jobs at hand. Sissi has good workethic and completed jobs well. We enjoyed seeing photos from her travels and with Sissi’s knowledge, we learnt about something we knew very little about - fossils on our property. Thanks Sissi for everything!

I enjoyed staying with Suzy, Richmond and the kids very, very much!!! They made me feel welcome from the first minute! The kids are really nice and include you in their playing immediately. Suzy and Richmond have a real interest in you as a person and are happy to listen to your travel stories. Work is much appreciated and well prepared/organised!
… read more I liked to cook for Suzy and the family as I was free to use everything and it was easy to make them happy. As it didn't fit perfectly with the dates I requested to stay Suzy organised for me to stay with their relatives for a few days. Although I only stayed with Suzy and the family for 2,5 days we did a lot together: Netflix, Masterton, Second Hand shop... And when Suzy brought me to the bus stop she even bought me a treat for my further travelings :)! I really can't recommend this host enough!! Hope I will get back!! We loved having Henrik to stay with us for nearly two weeks. He is friendly, offers to help with household duties and was fantastic with our three children who will miss him! I stayed at their home for nearly 2 weeks. It was such a nice and fun time and they integrated me very fast in the family. The work I needed to do was diversified, so it never became boring and the time ran. I had a very large bedroom, a lounge and a kitchen for myself, but never used lounge and kitchen, because I stayed with them in their rooms.
… read more The family itself is super friendly. I enjoyed playing with Hannah, Sophie and Sam and we had so much fun together! I am going to miss them! The farm is huge, so there’s plenty of things to do and to see! Suzy and Richmond are very friendly hosts, so you feel comfortable in a very short time. The 2 weeks have been amazing.
