I stayed with Sergi and Carmen for a month, and had a very great time! The family is very warm and welcoming, and there's never a dull moment (theater, circus, flamenco...). Clara es una persona responsable,trabajadora,participativa,adaptativa, agradable y colaboradora.nosotros no podemos pedir más, hemos quedado más que contentos con su voluntariado, nos ha ayudado mucho con lo que necesitamos de forma adecuada y fácil, su actitud y comportamiento ha sido inmejorable con todos. I stayed a bit more than 3 weeks with Carmen, Sergi, Isis and Nut and it was a very nice experience. You can notice that they have a lot of experience as Workaway hosts and all family members welcomed me with open arms. They really made me feel like a part of the family and I got fully integrated in the daily life. I was there during a time when
… read more Carmen had her leg broken and couldn't work so I helped a lot with daily tasks such as driving the girls to school and to their afternoon activities, doing laundry, grocery shopping and helping with garden tasks. I also got integrated in the olive harvest as Carmens parents have a lot of olive trees. It was really interesting to see how the harvest works and to meet more family members!
The food Carmen prepared for me was always tasty and I got to try a lot of typical spanish and catalan dishes. The two lovely girls are very active and talkative, so it is easy to connect with them :) the only struggle was bringing them to bed in the evening as they still had so much energy. All in all, I can recommend the experience although you might have different tasks depending on the time of year you are coming (they usually welcome Workawayers during the summer holidays when the girls are at home). But you can be sure to always have the opportunity to get an insight into everyday spanish family life and to be a part of it :)Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

Staying with this family was an extraordinary experience for me. I wanted to change my way of life and suddenly it was happening. Girls are very energizing, willing to play constantly. I loved types of toys and games that we have been playing with, more like educative than playful. What I will never forget are many different recipes especially
… read more aioli (me gusta muchoooooo). I really like spanish cuisine and trying to cook even back home based on what I have learned. I fell in love with Carmes parents. I learned a lot about olive cultivation by discussion with Carmen´s father who definitely really love everything about agriculture. On the top of it my mission was accomplished succesfully thanks to Carmen who on daily basis had to show a lot of patience to explain me a spanish vocabulary and grammar which helped me a lot to improve my spanish level. I had opportunity to visit different places and since Carmen quickly understood that Iam interested in sport and nature, she was trying to find that types of places such natural parks, rocky montains, caves, etc. I have seen a lot but most appreciating was to integrate into spanish native family life and just for a while have an opportunity to be a part of it.
