  Hello!
  We are Cristina and Gerrit-Jan, a Portuguese-Dutch couple living with our three children (6, 10 and 11 years old), our dog, and some cheerful chickens in the heart of Provence. 🌿 At home we mostly speak English and French.
  
  We would be delighted to welcome someone who enjoys sharing their language and passions with children—whether that’s playing, exploring outdoors, music, dancing, drawing, sports, creative activities and speaking to them in your own language so they can learn in a natural and fun way. We also have a piano and a couple of guitars at home, so if you’d like to practice or make music together, you are more than welcome! :)
  
  The first 1–2 weeks are considered a trial period, just to make sure we are a good match and that everyone feels comfortable. Our goal is to create a warm exchange where both sides can truly enjoy and benefit from the experience.
  
  We look forward to welcoming you into our family life here in Provence! 🌸

  You will be exposed to French, as well as English, which we mainly speak at home. If you wish, we can also teach you some Portuguese and Dutch. This is a wonderful opportunity to improve your language skills while enjoying daily life with the family.
  You will also have the chance to learn some delicious dishes! 😊 Occasionally, we go on trips around the surrounding area, the Côte d’Azur, and Piemonte (Italy), giving you the opportunity to discover some hidden gems of this beautiful region. Be inspired by the gentleness, pleasures and refinement that epitomize the art of living in Provence.

  🤗 Living with our family means adapting to the rhythm of daily life if you want to spend the time with us.🤗
  We love sharing our life and making our volunteer feel like a true member of the family.
  
  We are pleased to welcome a volunteer who is interested in sharing their experiences, knowledge, culture, and language with us—especially with the children. Sharing activities such as reading, drawing, painting, sports, playing misuc, etc. are at the heart of this exchange, so creativity is very much encouraged!
  
  You are the right person if:
  You genuinely want to be part of a family
  You are tolerant, respectful of other cultures, patient, creative, and you enjoy spending time with children—even if they knock on your door before school!
  You respect animals
  You are curious about exploring the area: Provençal villages, the Côte d’Azur, and enjoy culture, history, art, music, and more

  Acomodação

  We live in a lovely detached house, not far from the center of the village. The property includes a garden and a terrace, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors.
  We offer a cozy room with a double bed, wardrobe, bedside table, and desk. The bathroom and kitchen are shared, and of course, there is Wi-Fi and a washing machine available.
  Meals are provided, and we enjoy having lunch and dinner together whenever possible. 😉
  Please note: You will be responsible for keeping your room tidy and cleaning up after yourself.

  We live in a small village, surrounded by forests, beautiful vineyards, and farmland full of olives, fruits, and vegetables. With such lovely surroundings, you can spend your free time cycling, hiking, canoeing, swimming, or even taking a trip to the beach (about 50 minutes away).
  You are also welcome to join us on family outings and trips around the region if you wish—but of course, it’s entirely up to you.
