Descrição
We are a German-Filipino family living in the Philippines for more than 14 years.
Our dive center and resort are focusing on showing rare and unique marine animals to interested divers and underwater photographers. We also try to help educate our visitors about these animals. The described marine animals are small. Our work does not include dolphins, whales, turtles or other large vertebrates, but mostly unique invertebrates from beautiful to bizarre (cephalopods, nudibranchs, shrimps, crabs etc.) and some rare fish species incl. pygmy seahorses, frogfish and pipefish among others.
Our buildings are located right next to the ocean and surrounded by gardens and forests situated in a small village. Our narrow beach is accompanied by large mangrove trees and sea grass fields.
We are located in Barangay Lonos not far from Tiamban and Bonbon Beach. Romblon Town is 10 minutes away (by tricycle, motorbike or jeepney).
We have a stable WiFi connection (glass fiber optics).Tipos de ajuda e oportunidades de aprendizado

Should you decide to visit us, you have a chance to learn about the special marine animals, the ocean, work in a tourist establishment/dive center and life in general on a small non-touristic island in the Philippines.
Romblon Island is located off the beaten track. Do not expect night life or shopping opportunities here. But if you love nature, swimming, hiking, diving, snorkeling, taking photos, exploring and meeting people this place might just be right for you.
People here are very friendly and open. You will have a lot of chances to chat with locals and make new friends.
You have a chance to explore Romblon Island and the surrounding ocean. Whenever there is space you are welcome to join our diving tours for swimming and snorkeling (scuba diving is not included, but offered at a discounted rate).
You will also learn about local food and ingredients and can join shopping tours to town and the local market/fish market.Ajuda
We own a small resort (10 rooms) and offer very specific tours (diving services focused on rare animals and underwater macro photography). We need help with promoting the resort/dive center, developing better marketing strategies and creating content (photos, videos, graphics, print etc). We are looking for help with marketing and social media, graphic design and other task related to the work in the dive center (work at a computer).
Other helpful skills would be cooking (we are interested in learning new meals/new styles of cooking), interior design or art projects. If you have other ideas how you could support us, just contact us and we can talk about the feasibility of your ideas.
We are mentioning that we are interested in foreign dishes/styles of cooking, but this is meant like sharing a recipe/cooking something interesting for our family.
We have a German chef, fully trained in Germany. We would not have somebody else interfere with our restaurant/cook for our guests.
In general we are very much looking forward to meeting you! We are interested in making this a mutual beneficial experience and hope to learn something from you while we share our knowledge about our work and Romblon Island.Idiomas

Romblon Island is located at the end of the Verde Island Passage, which has the nickname “the center of center of biodiversity”. You might want to visit Bonbon Beach, Tiamban Beach or San Pedro Beach or tour the island by motorbike or tricycle. Maybe you like to see our marble crafting artists or swim at a waterfall. You can hike the hills and forests or visit nearby islands by boat. From Romblon Island it takes only 2 hours by ferry to reach Sibuyan Island with the majestic Mount Guiting Guiting. Sibuyan is also known as “the Galapagos of Asia” due to the amount of rare and endemic species in the Natural Park around the mountains.
