Jude and his sister Jemma stayed with us in January 2025 for two weeks. They were great guests, helping with after meals clean up and making their own breakfasts & lunches.
Mostly they worked on garden tasks, helping us shift & spread piles of pine chips under trees, creating a new "food forest" no dig layered orchard bed, moving wood to a new
… read more wood store and very thorough weeding. They took pride in their work and did it to a high standard, particularly the driveway weeding which they insisted on finishing on their last day, in the drizzly rain.
We enjoyed their company & great attitudes.

My sister and I stayed two weeks with Romy and Michael, and it was lovely!! It was my first Workaway experience and it couldn't have been any better. Romy and Michael were so generous to us both--they provided us lovely accommodation, food, and plenty of recommendations for what to do and see in the Kerikeri area. It is clear they really cared for
… read more us as Workawayers. The work we did involved a variety of odd jobs around the garden, and they often joined in to help us which was good fun! They were also very flexible with working hours, so we could see all we wanted to see when we stayed. I'll really miss staying here and filling myself up with Romy's excellent home cooked meals :)

… read more care about their workawayers, and want them to enjoy Kerikeri. They gave us recommendations for what to do/see in our free time, and were flexible with working hours. Sometimes they worked alongside us which was fun too! During our stay we mainly worked in the garden, which was very satisfying work. I would highly recommend their Workaway to anyone planning to visit the Kerikeri area. And to Romy and Michael, a HUGE thank you for welcoming us to your home, we couldn't have asked for a better start to our travels in New Zealand!

I ended up staying with Romy and Michael for 5 weeks even though I originally plannend to only stay 2. Their beautiful property and their many animals who always greeted me in the morning when I came up to the house made it on of my favourite stays. Romy and Michael are the most genorous and warm people I have met during my travels and the cherry

Romy and Michael are really nice, open and welcoming people which made us feel comfortable right away. They shared a lot about their past travels, gardening, history and just the way of living so we never got bored.

Clemens was always punctual and respectful, and was an easy guest. He took the sheets off the bed without being asked, and even 20 minutes before leaving, was asking if there was anything else he could do.
