I had the opportunity to spend almost 4 months here and I can say that it was a unique experience. Anne-Noelle and David are very interesting, generous people with a great sense of humour. David is passionate about music and the house, and Anne-Noelle knows a lot about history. There is always something to learn from them! I also had the

I've been doing some carpentry work refurbishing some doors and windows, and it's been really rewarding to leave a little grain of sand in that amazing house, and that makes me happy.
The park is surrounded by nature, you can walk to some of the neighbouring villages, and even take a train from East Grinstead and be in London in an hour. An excellent combination of having the peace and quiet of the countryside and visiting the busy city.
I have only words of thanks to the whole family, and hope to visit them again!!

We stayed a little over 3 months and we helped out in the lawn and garden, cutting grass, pruning bushes and weeding, collecting firewood for winter supplies, and renovating and painting several windows and doors.
We were also honored to participate in the organization of two concerts and a musical event with a picnic for a charity they support.
We thank all of the Park Family for welcoming us and being patient with our English.
We miss you all and also Mabel and Lily.

I had an incredible time during my stay! Anne-Noelle and David are such gracious hosts. They’re a wealth of knowledge on everything from local Sussex history to classical music.
The whole team was quite thoughtful to find projects that would help enrich my education and my experience has given me so many life skills. I especially enjoyed getting

There’s always something exciting going on while you’re there and I enjoyed the opportunity to learn about everything from driving a tractor to local architecture styles and microphone/speaker systems.
The accommodation was really spacious welcoming and there was even a washing machine that I could use! If you enjoy walks (or walks with dogs!) the house is set in a gorgeous park with plenty of running trails. They also have such a wonderful library, if you enjoy reading or history (the house even has a special connection to the United States Capitol).
They really made me feel like part of the family and I couldn’t have imagined a better first workaway experience!Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

This was my first workaway experience, I didn't know what to expect but I was ready to work in anything it was necessary. I was looking for a place to stay and work during the spread of COVID, but I found a warm family that received me and Nicolas (later) in the best possible way.

During my stay, I did gardening, basic building, weeding, painting, horticulture, wood jobs, cleaning spaces, and also I fixed the roof of a double deck bus and also I fixed door locks. Thank you family to trust me your doors and gardens, it was a pleasure.
Regarding the accommodation, the upper cottage cannot be better. I loved my stay in this full-furnished cosy cottage. There you have everything you need to be comfortable and happy.
The place is amazing, it is surrounded with woods and vegetation. I won't forget the front garden view, where I used to sit and watch for hours and sometimes I was lucky to see some deers crossing the garden. There are two beautiful and lovely dogs: Mabel and Lilly, my beloved girls! they are so cute and playful that you are never alone.
The family didn't treat me as a employee but as a member of their family. They helped me every time I needed. They helped me in some hard situations and also we shared amazing barbecues, dinners and scrabble's afternoons.
Thank you for everything and I hope to see you all again!
I highly recommend this experience, you won't forget it!Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

Our nine week experience was totally amazing, enriching, educational and entertaining.
Each member of the family is an exceptional individual. We had the pleasure of meeting Anne-Noelle and David, their sons Edward, Tom and George, Angus the Estate Manager and Teppo, a Workawayer from Finland. They all have unique personalities but their common
… read more thread is kindness, intelligence and passion. And let’s not forget the other two ladies of the house, the beguiling and cheeky Mabel and Lily.
We were made to feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Everybody was approachable, had the most dynamic dispositions and every interaction with them was such a blast. We had some really great eye-opening discussions, learned so much about the history of the house and area and covered a wide range of other subjects.
The tasks were varied and often weather dependant so no two days were ever the same. During our stay we helped out with household work, looking after the loveable Mabel, Lily and Whizz (which really didn’t feel like work!), lawn/garden care, chopping kindling, wood restocking, roofing, running errands, mechanical maintenance on farm machinery and a very interesting task of cleaning a double decker bus!
Anne-Noelle, David and Angus entrusted us to do the work, they were very flexible and didn’t believe in micro managing. We were always made to feel appreciated and this in turn made the work even more enjoyable and rewarding. We also had very nice tea breaks with an overflowing biscuit tin and special treats!
Our accommodation was clean, comfortable and warm and had a very well set up kitchen. It afforded us privacy and was so quiet. We have never slept so well!
It truly was a rich and varied stay with some of the kindest and most generous people we have ever met. This place is a magnificent estate and it’s a truly magical place.
Towards the end of our stay, the Coronavirus crisis was ramping up and David and Anne-Noelle were so lovely to let us stay on longer and were really concerned about our wellbeing. In fact, they were concerned for the whole community, which just shows what truly kind spirits abound within the property.
A beautiful area, a beautiful estate and the most beautiful people.
From us, a humongous thank you for everything and it’s definitely not goodbye, but see you next time.Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

After comparing different offers, I decided to apply to the estate of the Park to volunteer and I’m very happy that they gave me the opportunity to do my workaway here. It was an amazing and unique experience.
Right from the start David, Anne- Noëlle and Angus welcomed me with warmth and friendliness. They made me feel as a part of the family and
… read more looked after me very well. For example, they invited me to marvelous events of the charity Anne-Noëlle is supporting and to an event where we sang Christmas carols. I could always pop in for a tea and a chat after work. Since you are literally living in the woods and there is no public transport available, they take you to East Grinstead to do your shopping and to the train station if you want to do a trip on the weekend.
The accommodation is comfortable and has everything you need including a washing machine for your laundry.
You work for five hours a day and have two tea breaks and a one-hour-lunch. The work itself is rich in variety but if there are bigger jobs then it is possible that you work on them for some days. One of the biggest jobs during my 10-weeks stay was scaffolding dismantling and erection and subsequently the refitting of stones and the installation of new gutters. Another big job during my stay was the processing of firewood which included felling, sawing and chopping the trees. I also stacked the logs. Apart from these I did a lot of different gardening jobs and some work in the house.
All in all, I recommend this place highly and I am so happy that I could be part of the whole family and hope that I could give something back through my work.
Thank you again for everything!Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

I found this home by lucky happenstance and stayed about 10 days helping out with the fieldwork and some dog sitting. Despite being a soft couch-potato, I found myself hauling trees and clearing brush with great gusto. Angus and John make the work easy and enjoyable even for a novice. As a rule all the work was straightforward stuff, walking the dogs, helping set out coffee for any events, and helping around the house. In return I was treated like family, given very comfortable accommodation, good company, and enough tea and biscuits to sustain an army.
I give the highest recommendation for this place, and I hope I can visit again some time! (And point any wandering kiwis your way if you need 'em)Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

Although I am English, finding this place was like stumbling on a new country - the tranquillity of the place, and the sheer abundance of GROWTH, would be hard to find anywhere. … read more deep-rooted, yet still unfolding. I am very grateful to David, Anne-Noelle, Angus and John, whose friendliness, generosity and practicality made the days fulfilling, and although I could not do everything required because of past back and ear issues, there was so much to do on this beautiful estate that every day was physically satisfying. The chats everyday at the tea breaks, plus the barbecues, gave a good sense of togetherness with the other volunteers (the lovely Argentinians!). The accommodation is virtually four-star and the best you will find anywhere, and as well as the payment, it all adds enormously to your experience. You are literally ‘in the woods’ but with every essential modern convenience. There is a very good balance between work and downtime. Volunteers are looked after very very well. You will learn too from Angus that if you have enough past material around you, which there is, pretty much anything broken can be returned to some kind of working state or something new can be created. You begin to learn that this is the value of never throwing anything away. Should you have any depth of interest in fauna, flora, physics, architectural history, solar-power or star-gazing you’ll be in seventh heaven. This is a place unto itself, a jaw-dropper, a mind-opener, its own deep and rewarding spot. Thank you again.Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.
