Oportunidades de intercâmbio cultural e aprendizado
Krugersdorp is near The Cradle Of Humankind, Maropeng and the Sterkfontein caves. There is a lot of history in the area, and several monuments. There are also a lot of hiking and biking trails.
Johannesburg is a very cosmopolitan city, and integration is far more relaxed here.
At the moment the country is straining under loadshedding (ie rolling blackouts). But we make a plan!
Volunteers will have enough time off at their request to explore, go to the attractions and meet other people .Ajuda
Looking for someone practical and creative, and fairly organised and who will be able to look what is in the pantry, freezer and fridge, and be able to cobble a meal together, and who doesn't mind being alone in the kitchen. Also who will be able to follow my many saved recipies!
Although the kitchen is mainly plant based for humans, volunteer needs to be prepared to cook with meat for the dogs and cats.
If we have to go away, volunteer needs to be comfortable looking after the animals, overseeing the domestic worker and gardener etc.
A practical side is helpful, being able to start a generator etc.
It's a must to be environmentally, energy and water conscious.
Volunteer should be prepared to use their own initiative and help on their own occasionally, as I have fibromyalgia and other physical difficulties.
The volunteer preferably needs to have a valid SA driving permit.
Days, weekends and mornings/afternoons off are freely available on request. Volunteers please to read all the information carefully to make sure they have no unrealistic expectations on arrival.Idiomas

A private room, shared often by cats. The bathroom facilities are mainly shared. It has quite a low ceiling for taller people!
The dogs and cats like to sit on human laps! Most of the animals are rescued or adopted, and share the furniture. So a love and understanding of animals is a must! This is the animals house, we just live here.
Preferably on the younger side, there are steps to negotiate.
The weather can be freezing in winter, it has been known to frost and snow. Summers can either be a series of rolling heatwaves or thunderstorms and hail!Algo mais...
There is Uber in our area, and neighbours are helpful with lift requests
