Welcome! Beautiful land in a dead-end, CSA gardens, forest and pastures, pond, river. Many nearby lakes. 1 week minimum stay. Owned by six long-time friends.
We produce a large variety of certified organic vegetables, greens and herbs; distributed directly to the consumers through Community Supported Agriculture and a public market in the local area. Crops are covering about 4 ha every year. The rest of the farm includes above 30 ha of prairies and pastures, plus a maple forest dedicated to maple syrup production. We also operate 3 tunnel-greenhouses and 9 hoophouses.
Our land is nested in a dead end and it's south is bordered by the Riviere Noire. A fertile and dusky jewel with a pond at its center.
We have mobile homes you can lodge in, and a room in the house basement if needed. The meals are shared at the common kitchen and are made from organic and/or fresh products from our farm and our neighbour's network (vegetables, fruits, meats, cheeses, breads, eggs) Vegetarian or vegan meals are easily conceivable but you have to share the table with enthusiastic carnivorous.
Ours is a peaceful village, near fabulous sites for whoever likes cliff climbing, canoe, swimming or hiking. The Portneuf region is also well gifted for nature's lovers, and for those who prefer nightlife; the city of Quebec is only a one hour drive away.
French is our common language but we also speak English and some Spanish, although we suggest you to consider your stay at the farm as a French immersion.

We'll be happy to bring you to the public market on Saturdays, it's a great place to really meet local people. The farm really is a lively place in summer, with many friends and business partners coming by and often many helpers staying with us. We have a nice network of awsome people around us!

Helpers should expect to sometimes work in the heat and in the rain, must be ok with getting your hands and knees dirty. This said, we can always find tasks adapted to your capacities. We ask helpers to help for five hours a day, five days a week. We owners work often over 12 hours a day, six to seven days a week. As much as we enjoy sharing good times with our guests we don't get so much free time as we are seasonnal workers. But we try to give good advice on how to enjoy your stay when we lack time to be the touristic guides we'd love to be.
We are looking for serious helpers, willing to help a minimum of 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. The chores are mostly linked to the crops (planting, weeding, harvests, watering, seeding) but people with knowledge in building maintenance will find various opportunities to help us. Also culinary talents are well appreciated.Idiomas

Workawayers will be staying in trailers or shacks set in a camp at the back of the barn. We use a well equiped and spacious common kitchen that's inside the barn. There is a backhouse dry toilet and a shower near the trailers.
Lunch and dinner are shared in the common kitchen. We like to take turns for cooking and washing dishes, using a blackboard. But people who don't enjoy cooking don't have to, they just have to do more dishes! Helpers are free to use the batrhroom and the living room in the house.
Smoking on property but not in the house or common kitchen.Algo mais...

Noemie and the whole team were very careful to us, the food was with products from the farm and super good, work in the fields was clearly instructed, in a nicely mood. There was a great atmosphere between workers/wwoofers. We had the chance to meet other… read more
