  My name is Vincent, I'm a Belgian man who lived many years abroad (last ones were in China) and who landed in a tiny mountain village in Ariège, France, three years ago. I had enough of the big city life and wanted to reconnect with nature, climb mountains, grow my own food and become more self sufficient. I am an uncomplicated person, reliable and very honest :))
  
  After more than 15 years as a chef in some of the most demanding kitchens, I came back to France and had two wonderful experiences as a Workawayer before getting the keys to my own place, and I just loved it. Now that I am a bit more settled, I feel ready to host and share various experiences with motivated and curious people.
  
  The place here is stunning. Very few neighbors, water and mountains everywhere. I am at 800m altitude. I have cats, dogs, sheeps and chickens.
  The green house + garden is running full power, watered by the mountain's stream behind the house. There's an orchard and a forest where we get our fire wood from.
  
  The projects around here are diverse and plentiful, from gardening to taking care of the animals and everything in between. I welcome the help of motivated individuals who are physically fit, autonomous, and eager to share in the beauty and tranquility of this wild setting.

  I start to have a decent experience in many fields, I believe i have a lot to share, from my past experiences and my current seek for self sufficiency. I come from Belgium, lived in Italy and China, and open to discuss about everything. There is always things to be learned, on both sides :)

  Ajuda

  At the moment, i am more looking for people used to work alone, autonomously. I have a heavy schedule sometimes, that's the reason of it.
  Several projects are pending : Fish pond / Ground work and bedroom floor and wall renovation / Sanding and Painting of Doors, Chairs, Garden Hut / General maintenance of the land / Gardening (i.e. watering, removing weeds..). Cooking can be either done together or in a rotation.. we are open to discuss - and of course, i am happy to share some professional kitchen tricks with you!

  The best is for you to have your own car. I live at 800m altitude, you need good legs if you want to do everything on a bicycle. You can go hiking, you have an endless amount of paths in front of the house, in the mountains. Cycling, climbing (and training at home), canoe, canyoning, sightseeing (we have the biggest cave in Europe here 15 min from the house and some other nice caves, a Prehistoric Parc, Andorra for cheap shopping 45 min,) etc.....Ariege is a very rich area for nature lovers!
  
  If you are a climber i know a lot of great spots here where i climb myself. I am happy to share my advices with you!
