Aleksei (Alex) is a delightful young gentleman, who had a great attitude to his journey to finding work and adventures in his travels. We almost never take on helpers without prior experience or references but decided we would give Alex a go based on his profile as everyone has to start somewhere. He had a steep learning curve and responded really
… read more well to instruction. He dug holes, removed stumps, trimmed hedges, mowed the lawn, guerneyed paths and moved rocks. He asked questions when he wasn't sure what to do and it worked better when we were home and able to answer his questions. We wish him well in his job hunting and travels.

I really enjoyed my first Workaway experience. Jenny and David are really nice people. I came in Darwin because I needed to find work but wanted in the meantime to try Workaway because I thought that it would be a really great experience to share time with locals and to gain experience in gardening, and I really don't regret it.

… read more a lot (knowing that I've only been there for 1 week) and I wanna thank them for their patience as I know that I wasn't perfect especially in the first days, but with their recommandations I improved really fast.
I really enjoyed the fact that you feel apart of the family. They really try to make you feel comfortable the first second you come in their house and I really enjoyed to spend time with them, to talk with them. Pauline & Aymeric were fantastic helpers and house guests. They tackled many hot and grubby jobs in the garden as we cleaned out our overgrown tropical jungle of a yard. All done with a smile and enthusiasm to complete the tasks. They also helped prep our old caravan for painting and did some painting inside the house. We got to eat some delicious
… read more meals and desserts they prepared and they were lovely company as we like to share meals and swap stories. They slotted in very comfortably with our extended family including my elderly parents. They were clean and tidy leaving our caravan immaculate on their departure. I would highly recommend them to any host.

Ines and Andrea are beautiful souls, they are highly organised, diligent, work at a really high standard and best of all are great company.
Very easy house guests they took great care of our dogs who loved them so much and miss them terribly. They cooked and shopped for us and we ate the best Italian and a Portuguese desert that will be made
… read more regularly if our son has anything to say about it. They also tackled other maintenance/cleaning tasks we set and exceeded our expectations.
We enjoyed hours of conversations about everything and anything and best of all they are book lovers! We highly recommend them and would have them back anytime.

We spent 2 wonderful weeks with Jen, David and the whole family. We had a fantastic time! This was the true workaway experience for us, sharing cultures and food, sharing experiences. Darwin is such a great city, we managed to cycle a lot, see great places and enjoy the sunsets.
The tasks were not hard at all, very satisfying and enjoyable for us actually. Taking care of the most lovely dogs, Rosie and Bailey, was a pleasure!
We loved spending time with everyone, a big thank you to Jen and David and the rest of the family as well, grandparents included!

Melanie and Ezechial were great workers, tackling all tasks they were set and doing the jobs well. Melanie is a fantastic cook and Ezechial helped us with our IT as well. They are a lot of fun and we enjoyed showing them some of the sites of our city which they really appreciated. Highly recommend them to future hosts.

Denisa and Milan are a delightful couple. Keen to tackle the tasks we gave them with skills and enthusiasm and they did a high quality job (nothing had to be redone). Very pleasant company at mealtimes who got along with the whole family. They bring a positive attitude and we really enjoyed their company. I highly recommend this easy going pair.
