  We are a German family with a farm house and land at the foot of the Monte Amiata Mountain in Tuscany. Since some years we have been culturing the land biologically.
  I'm Jakob, 33, and live on the farm full time, with usually 1-2 family members as well as a horse, a donkey, chickens, dogs and cats. We have olive trees, a small vineyard and a vegetable garden which needs lost of love and care.
  For this, as well as several other projects and chores on the farm we are looking for support.
  
  Depending on the season there is different help that we need like felling trees, tending the vegetable garden, pruning trees and other plants on the property including Olives and Wine and tending to the animals. We also always appreciate help with mending and restoring stone walls on the land and the upkeep of the old stone house.
  In the spring we focus on pruning the olive trees and in the fall we harvest them. In these times the house is full of life with the whole family coming together, young and old, to help with the work to be done.
  We try to have the garden provide us with most of our vegetables throughout the year.
  
  Since about 4-5 years I've been building up the vineyard more intensely and have been cultivating it for our personal wine production.
  
  We look forward to welcome some nice and energetic people to come help us with the work, who like to exchange ideas and share our daily life on the farm as well as the peace and quiet of this beautiful valley.
  Room and board is free, we may cook together or just provide the food. The lodging is an addition to the main house with a dry outside toilet and an outside shower. Additionally there is the possibility to stay in a tent.
  
  The farm is located in a valley with the next village about 4km away. There are beautiful hiking possibilities and a small creek near by.
  
  
  
  
  
  Wir sind eine deutsche Familie, die seit vielen Jahren in der Toskana am Fuß des Monte Amiatas ein Anwesen haben welches wir seit mehreren Jahren Biologisch bewirtschaften.
  Ich, Jakob, 33, lebe meist mit 1 - 2 Familienmitgliedern auf dem Hof zusammen mit meinem Pferd, Esel, Hühnern, Hunden und Katzen. Wir haben Olivenbäume, einen kleinen Weinberg und einen Gemüsegarten die viel Pflege brauchen.
  Es fallen verschiedene Arbeiten auf dem Hof an, bei denen wir Unterstützung suchen.
  
  Abhängig von den Jahreszeiten fallen Arbeiten an wie, Bäume fällen, Gartenarbeit, Zuschnitt der verschiedenen Pflanzen, z.B. Oliven und Wein und die Versorgung der Tiere. Es gibt auch Projekte wie Mauern restaurieren und Instandhaltung des alten Hofs.
  Mit dem Garten versuchen wir uns, über das Jahr, mit dem Wichtigsten zu versorgen.
  Der Zuschnitt der Olivenbäume ist im Frühjahr und die Ernte im Herbst. Während der Zeit, ist das Haus sehr lebendig. Die Familie kommt zusammen, groß und klein, die bei der Arbeit helfen.
  
  Seit 4-5 Jahren kümmere ich mich intensiver um den Weinberg wie auch die Herstellung vom Wein. Für den eigen verbrauch.
  
  Wir würden uns über nette tatkräftige Menschen freuen, die sich gerne Austauschen aber auch die Ruhe dieses Tals genießen können.
  Kost und Logis frei,
  Die Unterkunft besteht aus einem Anbau am Haupthaus mit einer trockenen Aussentoilette und Aussendusche. Es besteht auch die Möglichkeit zum Zelten.
  
  Das Grundstück liegt in einem Tal und das nächste Dorf ist 4 km entfernt. Es gibt wunderschöne Wandermöglichkeiten und ein kleinen Bach in der Nähe.

  Acomodação

  The accommodation consists of an annex to the main house with a dry outdoor toilet and outdoor shower. There is also the option of camping and we have a small teepee.
  
  Die Unterkunft besteht aus einem Anbau am Haupthaus mit einer trockenen Aussentoilette und Aussendusche. Es besteht auch die Möglichkeit zum Zelten und wir haben ein kleines Tipi.

  We live on Monte Amiata, originally a volcano, which offers a varied environment. The mountain is surrounded by beech and chestnut forests. There are hot springs 20 km away. The sea is about 1 hour away. Siena and Grosseto are each about 1 hour away by car. You have to arrange your own excursions; there are buses from the nearby village.
  
  
  Wir leben am Monte Amiata, ursprünglich ein Vulkan, welcher eine abwechslungreiche Umgebung bietet. Der Berg ist umgeben von Buchen- und Kastanienwäldern. 20 km entfernt gibt es heiße Quellen. Ca 1 Stunde entfernt liegt das Meer. Siena und Grosseto sind jeweils ca 1 Std mit dem Auto entfert.
  
  Für Ausflüge muss selbst gesorgt werden, es fahren Busse aus dem nahe gelegenen Dorf.
