  Hello!
  
  I'm Stijn/Stigeon, and I could use some help developing off-grid land in Cozia, Hunedoara, Romania.
  The project is in its beginning stages, so if you want to build things up and see something take off, this would be a nice experience and a great learning opportunity.
  
  The goal is to transform a beautiful, but overgrown pasture into a permaculture garden, build up amenities, and eventually build a strawbale house or a cabin.
  
  I'm 36 years young (yea, yea, young! :)) ,originally from Belgium, I moved to Romania about three years ago, and started the project a few months back.
  I like to hike, go out for parties or drinks, camp, play chess, and just enjoy spending time outside.
  I can already say that I'm kind, a bit goofy, upbeat, analytical, and hard-working; and that I have a positive mental attitude. I'm easy to get along with :)
  
  But maybe it's better to have a short video call to get acquainted?
  Besides part-time coworkers, we would also be flatmates; so I think it's important we are sharing similar values and have a somehow matching vibe.

  - I can share my experiences traveling and working solo around different countries in the world
  - You will be part of various DIY-projects, and not just do a job, but be part of the whole process
  - In the apartment I'm growing edible microplants, I'd love to teach you how to grow these
  - If you like, there is a lot of natural beauty to explore in the region
  
  Basically, I think the biggest benefit of the Workaway experience I'm offering is to give young people extra confidence to go off the beaten path, and to possibly find out if there's something more than just working a job, paying rent and taxes, and to keep up with the Jones's.
  If for the moment you are lacking money to buy land and build up your own place in the world, I can show that it's possible and that there are opportunities all around the world.
  
  You will gain experience starting from scratch, and I'd really like to encourage others to live rent- and debt-free in a more sustainable way.

  Ajuda

  The work would involve spreading out gravel for an access road, mowing tall grass with a scythe, put on cking up trash neighbours dumped, digging swales, finishing up a water well, building a shed, installing a DIY composting toilet, putting up fencing, planting some bushes and trees, making a fire pit, digging a natural swimming pond,... things like that.
  
  If you're feeling a bit under the weather, if you're feeling tired or something like that I can also use help with applying for EU-funding or identifying plants on the field and finding out if they are edible or have a medicinal use.
  I very much like to do most of the more physical work myself (i.e. digging), so no worries about that :)
  
  No experience is needed, just an enthusiastic attitude and a good, friendly energy :)

  Acomodação

  A separate room in a shared apartment in Deva, Romania. Two-person bed, closet, desk+chair, armchair.
  Or the living room, whichever you prefer.
  You'll be living with me, and my two cats; Maya and Jimmy.
  
  Whenever you like, you can also camp at the field in Cozia (7 km from the apartment).
  If I can't drive you, a taxi between Cozia (the village) and Deva (the city) would be around 6€.
