  Hi I’m Clare, I live in the Irish countryside with my 15month old daughter born Sept '24 and elderly mother, we also have 2 dogs, 5 cats and 7 hens who lay the most delicious eggs. Our home is less then an hour outside Dublin City centre in a quiet little country side village. Our house is on 5 acres we have an organic vegetable garden where we like to grow a variety of fruits vegetables and herbs throughout the year currently getting it ready for the summer as its had a sleepy winter. We are both foodies and love cooking home cooked meals. My mum is a total chatter box! and loves having the company of others around.

  I am a trained chef and love to cook, I'm passionate about organic and sustainable growing also. I find it hard to find the time I would like to do more gardening, juggling work and being a mum can mean the garden doesn't get as much love as I would like, but I'm hoping this year there will be more of a balance. In my professional life I work as a food photographer some weeks are busier than others, during busy times I can leave the house very early and come back late in the evening.

  As a single mum who also takes care of my mother (and all our pets too!) having an extra pair of hands around is so helpful for us. I really need some help with my daughter while I work, my mum does a lot but isn't able for long days. So having experience with children is imported, she's great and is a very happy kid who loves to play.
  
  There is a mixture of indoor tasks and outdoor tasks too. We are looking for people who have experience being around kids and also likes to work outside as well.
  
  If there are two of you, one person may be asked to help doing indoor tasks like house cleaning helping with my daughter and the other will be asked to do some tasks outside work like gardening, clearing and small DIY projects.
  
  I work for myself, sometimes from home and other days in different locations. My mother is here all the time, she has a bad back but is still mobile just can't do too much some days. Now my daughter is getting bigger it is getting harder for her to lift her and be as hands on as she would like.
  
  Indoor tasks may include lending a hand in the kitchen to help prepare meals, set table, clear up etc. Helping with daily chores around the house like cleaning and organising.
  
  Some of the other tasks may include smaller DIY projects, from fixing items to painting, clearing sheds and organising. We have a beautiful garden that can always do with an extra pair of hands to help with weeding trimming and cutting the grass. Also there is always something to do in our vegetable garden, like planting and lots of weeding. Helping looking after our hen house for our hens, clearing and cleaning their little home.
  
  And we can't forget about throwing a ball for our happy dogs and giving them a lot of affection! The cats will probably ignore you or not leave you alone, their choice!

  We live in a four bedroom Georgian Farm House, our comfortable spare room in the house has a double bed and is located right beside the main bathroom, this bathroom is mainly for your use as we both have our own bathrooms.
  
  You will have access to the kitchen and there will be food there for you to prepare your own breakfast and lunches and some dinners too. We will have family meals together in the evenings but it depends on my work schedule at the time, we try to eat together at least 4 times a week, sometimes more. If you could help with setting the table and cleaning up that would be great.

  It is handy if you have your own car to get around, we are happy to drop people to the local bus stop or train station whenever possible and to inform you of local attractions and nice things to do on your time off. We also have a bike you can use too. My mother will be home most days there should be always someone around to chat to. A good understanding of English is helpful also. We love meeting people through this and really appreciate all the help we can get, especially as mum is older and her back problems means she can’t do as much as she would like.
