Help with gardening and learn about natural building in Málaga, Spain

  Who I am
  I am a happy, active, curious 76 year old artist, natural builder and organic gardener. This is a very general nutshell description since I am also interested in many other subjects and enjoy sharing ideas, ideals and life experiences with other people. I live alone with 6 free range cats in a little 2 room house on a 1,500 sq. mtr plot in a residential estate on the outskirts of a town near Málaga, Spain. I am involved in the local communities of people with interest in community living, natural building, permaculture and organic gardening, greening the desert, local currencies, yoga, qi gong, dance and meditation among others. I bought a small cave in the Albaicín of Granada where I may end up living after December 2024.
  During almost 4 years my energy level became extremely low due to long covid. Altho I have recuperated almost 100%, I still struggle some times with my stamina and strength. I realize I would be much better off with the presence and help of younger people to move forward on these projects :-)
  My project in Malaga
  I am working on two different projects intermittently, dividing my time between the plot I have been living on for 10 years and the rehabilitation of a cave in Granada city. The owner of the plot has given me notice that he wants to put it on sale in December 2024. He has given me permission to be proactive in looking for a buyer who wants to carry on the work I have been doing here to regenerate the soil as well as some small natural building projects.( outdoor rocket stove, outdoor kitchen, clay plastering of indoor walls, 2 geodesic domes) My present goal is to prepare the property to be shown after September.
  A minor project is to set up wicking/ self watering containers as a way to maintain a vegetable garden where water is scarce. It is becoming mandatory in more and more places to learn to grow food under drought or semi-drought conditions.
  I will be in Malaga during the month of June. The last week of June and the beginning of July my family will visit and I will want to spend time with them. Ideally the volunteer/s would stay at the house to carry on with the work we plan even tho I am not always around. That would depend on the relationship we establish and the feeling of comfort, independence and enjoyment he/she acquires until then.
  Who am I looking for
  I am looking for a person/ 2 people who would like to be involved in these projects. Many different skill sets would be valuable but the ability to do physical work for 4-5 hours per day is fundamental. Due to the summer heat, the work schedule will be flexible so each person can work when they function best.
  Internet, social media and web page design are also necessary so some days could be less physical. Enthusiasm and creativity are a plus!
  How much time
  It would be wonderful to find someone who would like to stay and be involved for a month or more, altho I suggest a week long trial period to get to know each other.
  Living conditions
  A private bedroom with a double bed or, if they prefer, a tent outside. There is an outdoor kitchen and dry toilet. The beach is 8 km away. There are buses which leave you nearby and sometimes I can facilitate with the car. Biking is an option but I don’t own a bike. Possibly I could borrow one.

  Oportunidades de intercâmbio cultural e aprendizado

  I am bilingual Spanish-English and a retired language teacher. It would be a good opportunity for anyone who would like to practice either language. I am passionate about building with clay, cave living and love spreading the word (somewhat of a cave-dweller missionary). Also about experimenting with creative ways to work with a dry climate, regenerate soil, and apply permaculture ideals to any situation.
  I love both to teach and to learn natural building and gardening techniques and am always experimenting with new applications. I form part of an active, local, spanish speaking community of people who share these interests so the volunteer would be in direct contact with them too.

  The work is not very strenuous. Skills in organizing space, ability to work independently, help with social media and web page, preparing meals, interest in creatively growing plants in a dry climate and willingness to share ideas and support me in my attempt to go forward in preparing and beautifying the plot, even at times when my own energy levels are low. General gardening and housekeeping.

  This is called the Costa del Sol. The beach is 8 km away.The plot is in a semi-urban residential estate on the outskirts of a town with all modern conveniences. There is regular bus service to Málaga with connection to trains and buses to all the cities and coastal towns in the area. Málaga is a modern, tourist destiny with lots of cultural events. There are many opportunities to explore Spanish culture and life style.
  My group of friends are mostly much younger than I and also interested in permaculture, organic gardening, and alternative, sustainable life styles.

  I have optic fiber and generally good cell phone coverage for most companies. I myself was a digital nomad for some years and greatly value the freedom and independence it provides, as well as the demand for self-discipline and responsibility.
