  Hi My name is Jonathan, I am 30 years old and this year i decided to move to the country side of portugal to live off of the land as much as possible in a sustainable way. I have a beautiful piece of land right on a river next to the sweet town of Souto da Casa where there are three cafes and a river beach to socialise at, and the nice small city of Fundao is only 12 minutes drive away with all services. I am also at the base of Serra Gardunha mountain which has beautiful hiking, and nearby there is yhe serra estrela national park. I want to host workawayers because i love sharing and connecting with people, and it makes me happy when others enjoy the peaceful place i have found. I have travelled a lot as a volunteer myself and had many great moments, currently ive seen 29 countries and 5 continents. I am social person yet I do love peace and quiet, doing yoga, surfing and cooking healthy food. I am currently starting from scratch, working to cut vegetation to make platforms for camping as well as improve the outdoor kitchen. There is a composting toilet and volunteers are welcome to bring their own tent or van or stay in a tent which I provide along with three healthy vegetarian meals per day. We share cooking and cleaning tasks by taking turns. Work is fun, outdoors, with lots of swimming in the river to cool off in the hottest part of the day. You will have plenty of free time to explore, hang out in the hammock and learn about off grid life im Portugal. This place is best suited for people who love wild camping and wild places. I am excited to meet you and I welcome you to this beautiful piece of Portugal!
