we stayed 10 days in Paul's house. the place is very beautiful and peaceful in the middle of the forest. the beach is 5 min by car and is perfect for surfing. it was very nice to meet Paul, he's very kind with his hosts, we recommand this experience.

I had a great summer experience with Bary, Irit and Daniel. Right from the start they were happy to throw themselves into any task no matter how mundane, and did it with enthusiasm and a smile.
Apart from the help they gave me they were also great company and we spent many evenings around the bbq.

What I would recommend about the area is to either bring a car or rent one, cause the place is surrounded not only by its amazing green environment but also by plenty of heritage, landscape, villages, beaches, day and nightlife. … read more Paul's place. It was my very first-time "workawaying" and I found what I was looking for: a place surrounded by nature where breathing pure air and getting lost on its walks are a thing.
What respects to the place itself, Paul has done his best job when ideating and making it possible. The main house has a carefully considered interior which is equipped with everything you need and also it feels like home, its comfy vibes are on the air. The new place which Paul has also created is a beautiful environment to sleep in. The "yoga area" seems to be like unreal. When you look through the enormous windows, it looks like a frame for its painting. The painting, which is the nature itself, surrounding the house and incredible amazing during the day, at the sunrise and when the sun comes down. The garden, which I hope Paul can revive and give it time, is much bigger than I expected. Really a nice place to walk through, read a book or just grabbing some fruit from its trees.
A big thank you to Paul, for having me in the last minute and for making my first workaway experience worth it. Hope to come back in the future and see how it has grown up. I had spended three weeks with Paul and his two dogs. My expectation for exchange was clearly to "work and pray". Pauls house is situated on the hill like castle, among the mountains and the ocean coast. Totaly occupied with nature and little bit isolated from the rest of civilization. … read more prepared everything for work, he had clear idea what to do and how to do, but he was ready to discussing about it. I thing, I am little bit headstrong, but with Pauls open-minded character we founded way how to cooperate wery quick. It was beautiful company with Paul. In another way, I had started to work on my own. For my paiting and drawing and so on I started to be little bit expanse. Step by step I occupied mutual space by my papers and canvases. Paul was very tolerant with that. So, that is what I guess like the best point of our company, because we were respectfull to ours free time. I did lots of my own projects, my health grew up. I am so glad that I made the decision to stay two weeks (though I could have stayed much longer) with Paul and help out around his house. He is an awesome person to hang out with, and I really appreciated him showing me around to some nice local spots in the area. There is lots of work to do around the house and property so I'm sure there is something for any workawayer to do. I did a lot of tidying up, and lots of gardening when the weather was good. The location is perfect for those who enjoy the quiet life, surrounded by nature. You really can't beat having coastal and mountain views at the same time.

I only had a rather short stay at Paul's place (4days), but it has been absolutely amazing!! Paul is a super nice and cool guy, and through all the details on his land, you can see how much he loves life!

… read more plants or change of weather. Paul is very open to suggestions and takes everyone's interest and talent into account when planning work. Paul is simply amazing, everyone should have a friend like Paul!
Paul's dogs are amazing too! They can make you fall in love with them instantly! I enjoyed so much the morning walks with Pekki and Osi, either on the forest path or on the top of the hill, always breathtaking sunrise guaranteed!
And not to forget the volunteer caravan, simply luxurious! Facing the deep valley, surrounded by trees, with outdoor terrace, and lights! I've never slept in such a nice place before - absolutely magical!
And the surrounding area has so much to offer! Hiking, surfing, collecting crystals on the beach, you will never get bored!

This was a great experience and we both feel we learnt a lot from working with Paul. The house is in a perfect location only half an hour down to the beach and with access to great walks and scenery in all directions. Paul is a super chilled guy with great friends, we got on really well with everyone we met there.

i felt so at home here i didn't want to live. The location is great, hidden behind a golf course, he sits on the mountain beside the sea, where the beach is stunning and reminded me of home in Devon. The best thing about this workaway was the relief of good old english banter, Paul is a generous and kind host with a great taste in music and books, and an even greater sense of humour!!!!!!

It was my first workaway and I really enjoyed it. I had a wonderful time with Paul and his dogs Osi y Peke. My usual day there started with a long walk with dogs in the mountains and I couldn't wish any better. … read more gardening and in rainy days some help with constructing. The place is not so big and it didn't take loads of time to complete each tasks, so I felt my work as diverse and absolutly not boring.
Paul is a wonderful guy, with a great sense of humor, very kind and attentive to needs of his volonteers. He cooks marvellously (ask him for some spicy meal :) ) and often takes workawayers to visit very beautiful places a little futher away.
I was sorry to leave after two weeks, if not my other organized workaways I could easily have stayed longer.

He is easy going, funny, generous, smart and just a good person. I loved to talk to him and he drove me around, to show me the area (mountains, beaches, his freinds places, other villages). We had a blast of a time and I enjoyed his company very much.
The work was partly new to me, but I´ve been able to improve my skills and I´ve learned new things, cause Paul explained them ber good to me. Most of the time I was gardening or cleaning or just organizing stuff. Sometimes it was physically hard, but always fun and never stressful.
Paul is a great friend and teacher. I wish him all the best and hope to come back one day.

Paul is an incredibly nice guy and a very relaxed host. We could choose our hours and when we wanted to take our breaks. He kept us very well fed and we got a comfortable private room.
