Hello, this is Zaid. Welcome to my little haven in the Middle Atlas Mountains of Morocco.
I decided to begin a new chapter near nature after years of working in sustainable development and traveling throughout Latin America. I'm using permaculture as a guide to develop an environmentally sustainable farm. The objective is to cultivate wholesome food, take good care of the land, and make room for a straightforward, fulfilling life.
There is a lot to do as the project is still developing, including planting, gardening, eco-construction, path upkeep, and experimenting with green concepts. Your assistance is greatly needed if you like being outside and doing manual labor!
Cedar trees, rivers, hiking paths, and a traditional Berber settlement are all close by and are perfect for anyone wishing to unwind and get back in touch with nature.Tipos de ajuda e oportunidades de aprendizado

Opportunities for cultural interaction and education
Volunteering here offers an opportunity to immerse oneself in a new way of life and establish connections with people, language, and culture in addition to assisting with the land.
✨ Multilingual Exchange: We can communicate in a variety of ways because I know Arabic, English, French, Spanish, German, and a little Portuguese. Additionally, there is always opportunity to practice or pick up a new language.
🌾 Agroecology & Permaculture: You will gain practical experience in establishing a sustainable farm, including planting, soil maintenance, and eco-friendly solution testing.
🏞️ Experience Local Life: With its souk, traditional crafts, and friendly locals, the neighboring village provides an insight into Moroccan rural culture.
🛖 Get to Know Amazigh Families: I sometimes go to see local nomadic or semi-nomadic families, which is a great way to discover their traditional methods of living and how they interact with the environment.
🥾 Outdoor Exploration: Hiking, strolling through the forest, or just taking in the peace and quiet of the mountains are all excellent options in this area. Beautiful cedar forests, springs, and even two national parks are all nearby.
🧘 Rediscovering Nature: This location encourages you to slow down and pay attention to nature, whether you're meditating on the terrace, observing birds, or strolling barefoot in the garden.Ajuda
Spending time outside, getting your hands dirty, and assisting in the development of a sustainable farm from the ground up are all part of volunteering here.
This practical experience is perfect for those who like doing tasks with their hands, learning by doing, and being a part of an important initiative in its infancy.
🌱 Everyday actions (based on the needs of the land and the season):
Watering garden beds and young trees; planting fruit trees, vegetables, or herbs; mulching, weeding, and maintaining soil; composting; and making natural fertilizers
Harvesting seasonal crops; constructing and caring for garden structures and raised beds
Organizing outside spaces and keeping them tidy and functioning; occasionally assisting with the preparation of tea or simple meals together; light building or do-it-yourself tasks (such as walkways, fences, and tool storage);
🕒 Weekly flow and helping hours:
Usual day: four to five hours help
Regular timetable: In the cooler morning hours (about 8:30 am to 1:00 pm).
Two days off per week, though this can vary based on the weather and scheduled activities.
We make an effort to maintain a healthy balance between the tasks, education, and taking in the serene surroundings. We slow down or start early if it's too hot. We occasionally plan treks, take walks in the forest, or visit local people and villages.
I truly value volunteers that bring interest, initiative, and a positive attitude because the project is still in its early stages.Idiomas

🏡 Lodging and everyday existence
I reside in Ain Leuh, a tranquil hamlet encircled by cedar forests and ancient Amazigh settlements in Morocco's Middle Atlas mountains. The project is situated in a peaceful neighborhood with nature nearby, only a short stroll from the town center.
Three rooms make up my home: a kitchen, a bedroom, and a large living area where I welcome volunteers. It's straightforward but cozy, and we modify the layout according on the number of guests. To ensure that everyone has a comfortable place to sleep, mattresses, blankets, and pillows are provided.
There is a terrace outside with a lovely view of the hills and valley, ideal for a conversation at sunset or for morning tea.
I provide three meals a day, and we all share responsibility for cooking. We either cook together or take turns, utilizing local and fresh ingredients. Only a short drive away is Ain Leuh's weekly souk (market), a vibrant and colorful experience that's a terrific opportunity to learn about local culture.
The atmosphere here is one of kindness, simplicity, and connection, whether we're cooking, telling stories, or just taking in the peace and quiet of the countryside.Mais alguns detalhes
