  I live in a most beautiful place - sitting on the coast in Wicklow Town. About 35 kilometres from Dublin , Wicklow Town has everything -sea, lakes and mountains. It has a rich history and a vibrant artistic community.
  My house is in the harbour in a row of what were traditional fishermen 's cottages. At the end of the street is the terminus for several bus routes going to Dublin Bray and the world famous monastic site at Glendalough.
  In the past I have done a lot of overseas volunteering - different work including Southern Africa with my then baby daughter.
  Whatever your age and interest Wicklow Town has something for everyone including a huge range of outdoor activities from kayaking in the harbour and the river to a leisurely stroll on the pier. My house is beside the Black Castle and the cliff walk. It is also next to a beach which is very popular for sea swimming all year round.

  This part of Ireland is rich in history and folklore. Around the corner from my house is the Gaol . Now a museum where you can visit and learn about Irish rebellions over a 400 year period in an effort to be independent.
  The town sits on a beautiful if fragile environment and I can signpost you to groups who are involved in growth and nature.
  
  Down the street is a magnificent library with sea views. It contains a folklore section as well as all the contemporary things. The library is also a hub for activities
  
  The music scene in the town is very vibrant especially in summer.
  If you need any help with language I am very happy to spend time with you on this.

  I need a little help. Help with walking my very friendly dog. Penny. Maximum half hour to one hour daily.Second some house maintenance. Nothing overwhelming as it's a small house but there are some things that I need help with. Basic cleaning really. No more than 3 hours 5 days a week would be great. And you would need to be happy with a dog and cat. I know every owner says this - but it's true! They are very well behaved.

  Happy to help with English . Also to share some Irish language with you. I have had many Spanish people to stay but we spoke mainly English. Maybe now is a time to dust off my French and try a little Spanish.

  Acomodação

  A beautiful large bedroom facing the pier and the lighthouse. A reclining armchair to sit and watch the sun go down or rise. Shared bathroom sitting room and kitchen.
  I will provide meals. I cook beautiful vegan dishes. If you really don't like my beautiful vegan dishes we can come to an agreement ! I wouldn't want a guest to be unhappy! We can check on this beforehand.

  Excellent transport to Dublin and Bray. And then a dedicated service to Glendalough which goes through the mountains and you can get off at villages along the way. At the other end of town is a rail station with trains to Dublin and Wrxford.
  I think I listed a lot of cultural and outdoor pursuits in the information above. And really whatever your interests there is something here for you to do hopefully something new to discover.
  I will need to use crutches for next 3/4 weeks. Because of this I can't take you out and about. But I can link you up to things and show you events. It depends on what you are interested in

  Lastly I am an ex smoker. Now I vape. It's ok to smoke but outdoors please.

  My Internet connection is very good. There is also the possibility of a dedicated space in the library - 2 minutes away and with a sea view
