I stayed with Sara and her husband Filipe for two and a half weeks and I honestly really enjoyed my time there. They were both such warm and relaxed people and they made a real effort to involve me in family meals and talk to me in Spanish which was one of my aims. They have lovely children and they live in a really beautiful area. They also have
… read more an amazing dog and walking him everyday was consistently a highlight. The work was usually quite fun and included cutting back some of the plants and trees and planting broccoli and they were very relaxed on my work schedule. Overall I really enjoyed my time staying with them and I would really recommend it to anyone.

Our family stayed with Sara Eva, Felipe, Olivia, Aitana and Luna for almost three weeks and we really liked it there. At the moment we met, we felt so warmly welcome and even though they were quite busy during our stay, leaving and coming, we kept the spirit of togetherness. … read more was terrible :D They both always asked if we liked our job and how we felt about it. They were also very empathetic, caring and helpful all the time.
The work involved some help on the construction project (digging a septic, building a new retaining wall from tyres), gardening, building new stairs, fruit picking, cleaning the chicken house, cooking, even taking care of Luna when Sara Eva had to go to work. Due to early sunset, cold evening and having to put kids into beds, we unfortunately haven't spent really much time together in the evenings, which Sara Eva apologized for and it was really caused by busier times than usual. We had a lovely farewall campfire with food, music instruments and singing :)
What you should know:
- The project is quite dislocated and there are fences along the road, so it's quite difficult to just "go for a walk around". There are bikes available (without helmets), just mind that you're in the mountains. The family cars are not always available for use. If you're a family, I recommend you come here by your own car.
- Sara Eva speaks English and Spanish and 3 other languages, the rest of the family mostly Spanish. It's a great opportunity to learn some Spanish :) I just recommend knowing at least basics.

Our three weeks with Sara Eva and Philippe and the kids was wonderful. The love and openness they shared with us wil never be forgotten and we hope to visit again someday!

… read more soul- she truly has a gift of communication and empathy. We really valued the clear communication and it made it so easy for us to get into a good rhythm and feel like we belonged. We were there with our children and the respect for their needs and understanding of the sacredness of childhood and family was something we were delighted to find here. We will forever take with us the essence of Namaste and hope to grow in the practice. Our entire family found connection and friendship easy and enjoyable with each member of the family. Everyone and everything was beautiful; from the cúpola, to the cocina, to the gallinero, the spirit on the grounds was tangible and rich. Their use of recycled materials slowly bringing more and more beauty and life to this little piece of the world was inspiring and magical. We were so fortunate and happy to get to add our handiwork to the mix. The pace of life was tranquiló. The family was so helpful as we were struggling through our Spanish- and I think it’s safe to say everyone in our family doubled their knowledge and use of Spanish.💪🏼 unforgettable memories ❤️

Nous avons passé trois semaines chez Sara Eva, Felipe, leurs trois filles et leur chien Tronco dans leur magnifique domaine.
Nous avons tellement reçu et appris à leurs côtés en trois semaines que nous nous réjouissons de pouvoir partager un nouveau séjour à leurs côtés très bientôt.

… read more membres de leurs familles tant ils nous ont transmis d’affection et tant ils ont spontanément et naturellement partagé les petits détails de leur quotidien nous donnant le sentiment d’être inclus à chaque moment dans leur vie, tout en respectant les moments d’intimité nécessaire à chacun.
Felipe sait tout faire de ses mains, il est patient, souriant et aime autant faire que transmettre ses innombrables compétences dans apparement tous les corps de métiers.
Sara Eva est l’incarnation de l’empathie. Elle est toujours souriante et cherche à comprendre les secrets du bonheur, tant pour elle que ses enfants et les gens qui viennent à ses séances de yoga qu’elle enseigne merveilleusement quand elle n’est pas guide touristique.
Leurs enfants ne sont pas timides mais de ceux qui cherchent immédiatement à vous montrer que vous êtes les bienvenus, alors même que notre espagnol était balbutiant.
Quant à Tronco, leur chien, il a été de toutes nos balades nous rendant joyeux à chaque occasion.
Qu’il fait du bien de rencontrer des humains comme cela. Qu’il fait du bien de voir des humains qui vivent comme cela. Merci, merci mille fois à vous tous et à très bientôt les amis.
We spent three weeks at the home of Sara Eva, Felipe, their three daughters and their dog Tronco on their beautiful estate.
We received and learned so much from them in three weeks that we are looking forward to sharing another stay with them very soon.
We felt at home, as if we were members of their families, so much affection was transmitted to us and so much they spontaneously and naturally shared the small details of their daily life giving us the feeling of being included in every moment of their life, while respecting the moments of intimacy necessary to each one.
Felipe knows how to do everything with his hands, he is patient, smiling and likes to do as much as to transmit his innumerable skills in apparently all the trades.
Sara Eva is the epitome of empathy. She is always smiling and trying to understand the secrets of happiness for herself, her children and the people who come to her yoga sessions which she teaches wonderfully when she is not being a tour guide.
Their children are not shy, but the kind that immediately try to show you that you are welcome, even though our Spanish was in its infancy.
As for Tronco, their dog, he has been on every walk, making us happy at every opportunity.
How good it is to meet people like that. How good it is to see humans who live like this. Thank you, thank you a thousand times to all of you and see you soon, friends.
Pasamos tres semanas en casa de Sara Eva, Felipe, sus tres hijas y su perro Tronco en su preciosa finca.
Hemos recibido y aprendido tanto de ellos en tres semanas que estamos deseando compartir otra estancia con ellos muy pronto.
Nos sentimos como en casa, como si fuéramos miembros de su familia, tanto afecto nos transmitieron y tanto compartieron de forma espontánea y natural los pequeños detalles de su vida cotidiana dándonos la sensación de estar incluidos en cada momento de su vida, respetando los momentos de intimidad necesarios para cada uno.
Felipe sabe hacer todo con sus manos, es paciente, sonriente y le gusta tanto hacer como transmitir sus innumerables habilidades en aparentemente todos los oficios.
Sara Eva es la personificación de la empatía. Siempre está sonriendo y tratando de entender los secretos de la felicidad para sí misma, para sus hijos y para las personas que acuden a sus sesiones de yoga, que enseña maravillosamente cuando no está haciendo de guía turística.
Sus hijos no son tímidos, sino de los que enseguida intentan demostrarte que eres bienvenido, aunque nuestro español estaba en pañales.
En cuanto a Tronco, su perro, ha estado en todos los paseos, haciéndonos felices en cada oportunidad.
