My stay with Elise, David, Thomas and Gabrielle was, I would say, perfect in every conceivable respect; certainly I couldn't have hoped for more. I was with them for two and a half weeks, the first trip I had made through workaway. Over the course of that time I was shown the most extraordinary kindness and generosity. The house is very beautiful,
… read more the location convenient and stimulating, in a town that has everything one could need. (Although if one were to want to explore the area beyond the town, that is extremely straightforward as well, by train, foot or bike.) David and Elise are thoroughly interesting and interested people, serious without being remotely humourless, quite the opposite actually, and Gabrielle and Thomas are absolutely awesome. Everyone, I would repeat, is extremely kind, thoughtful, and welcoming. The work we did was fun, and as flexible as I wanted, if I wanted to head out to do things. There was a strong feeling that I could have my own space, which was great, but I didn't really feel like I wanted to have my own space most of the time, because it was so very nice to spend time with the family. Facilities - couldn't ask for better. The food (as just an example) was provided in wondrous quantity and variety, and has left me moved and not sure I will ever be entirely happy outside France ever again. I lived a very beautiful experience during my stay in Malta. Upon my arrival, I was very well welcomed by the whole family. Gabrielle and Thomas are 2 lovely children who made me feel very quickly at ease.
They are smart and charming children with whom it's pleasant to spend some time.
They treated me as if I was part of the family and always
… read more suggested me to join their outputs while letting me enjoy my free time. They also took time to show me Malta.

… read more the capital Valletta, villages that I could cross. David always present when I had a transportation problem;) Gabi is a girl who knows what she wants, 7 years already trilingual, respect, and Thomas, a small dreamy boy, both very engaging. The fact of working for a family did not keep me out, instead they left on me the freedom to enjoy my free time. Now that I'm workawayer in Spain, I think this Franco-Maltese family will miss him.
