  Situated in the idyllic city of Heidelberg, working some of the most romantic places in town ( around the favorite walking trail of Austrian empress Sissi, medieval wine growing terrasses, the cliffs and slopes of the Neuenheimer Schweiz=Switzerland of Neuenheim and many more). I am a conservation biologist and the goal of my work is to preserve the natural diversity and beauty of those sites. Most of the products(hay, apples, other fruit and timber) i give away. The land is mainly fruit orchards, but also rocks and cliffs, forests, screes, orchid habitats and more.

  Meine Farm liegt im idyllischen Heidelberg und ich bewirtschafte einige der schönsten Flächen in dieser
  romantischen Stadt (den Steinberg mit mittelalterlichen Trockenmauern, den Valerieweg, bevorzugter Spazierweg von Kaiserin Sissi, die Hänge und Felsen der Neuenheimer Schweiz, das Felsenmeer uvam). Ich bin diplomierter Naturschutzbiologe und im Naturschutz und in der Landespflege tätig, das heisst, alle Arbeiten werden zum Zweck des Erhalts gefährdeter Arten und Biotope sowie zur Pflege der traditionellen Kulturlandschaft durchgeführt. Die Produkte (vor allem Heu, zahlreiche Obstarten und Holz) werden meist verschenkt. Es gibt vor allem Streuobstwiesen, aber auch Klippen, Felsenmeere, Orchideenwiesen und verschiedene andere Biotope.

  On the project volunteers can learn everything about nature conservation and habitat management. Ocasionally i also organize classes on biodiversity, climate change, exotic fruit or wildernes survival. I also love to cook international food and im always eager to learn new recipies. Heidelberg is a very international city and most of my friends are from everywhere. Here you can easily get to know both the German culture and countless other ways of life and cultures.
  
  Freiwillige können alles über praktischen Naturschutz und Biotoppflege lernen. Manchmal organisiere ich auch Kurse zu Naturschutz, Biodiversität, Klimawandel, exotisches Obst oder Überlebenstraining. Ich koche gerne international und bin immer gespannt auf neue Rezepte. Heidelberg ist eine sehr internationale Stadt und die meisten meiner Freunde kommen von überall her. Hier kann man problemlos sowohl die deutsche Kultur als auch unzählige andere Lebensweisen und Kulturen kennen lernen.

  Mostly hay collecting, removing of invasive weeds, care for the fruit orchards, collecting of stones and other traditional farm work. moving meadows, if you know how to do it. I do not demand work on dangerous and steep slopes. You can get a letter of recommendation for work in nature conservation after a longer stay. You are being insured by the LandwirtschaftsBG (German farmer insurance company). Please read everything carefully and send only serious requests. Thanks
  
  vor allem Heusammeln, Ausreissen/Ausgraben invasiver Arten, Pflege von Obstbäumen, Sammeln von Steinen und andere Arbeiten, vor allem aus der traditionellen Landwirtschaft. Im Sommer v. allem Heu sammeln.
  Auf Wunsch und bei Vorhandensein von Vorkenntnissen kann auch mit Hand- ooder Motorsense gemäht werden. Aufenthalt auf extrem steilen oder gefährlichen Flächen wird nicht verlangt. Bei längerem Aufenthalt kann ein Praktikumszeugnis für Arbeiten im Naturschutz ausgestellt werden. Versicherung über die Landwirtschaftliche berufsgenossenschaft. Bitte die Hofbeschreibung sorgfältig lesen und nur ernstgemeinte Anfragen senden.
