A Working Homestead of Faith, Healing, and Purpose
Hello!
My name is Oskar. I’m 30 years old, and after spending many years traveling, volunteering, and learning about natural living and farming, I’ve found my place here—building a small homestead focused on healing, simplicity, and living in line with the teachings of Jesus.
The vision on my heart is to create a peaceful retreat—a quiet place where people can rest, enjoy nature, and experience the benefits of natural health. One of the key parts of this retreat is a simple, nourishing practice: the milk diet. This gentle remedy has been used for centuries to support healing. Hippocrates, often called the father of medicine, used it to treat illness in ancient times. Later, in the early 20th century—before modern medicine became industrialized and monopolized—many doctors in the West used the milk diet as a trusted therapy for various conditions. I’ve seen its quiet effectiveness myself and am grateful to share it when the time is right.
Right now, the retreat isn’t running , as I’m still building the foundation for it. I’m working toward producing small-batch goat milk gelato to help support the project financially. In the meantime, most of my income comes from carpentry work, so I’m sometimes away for a day or two. During those times, you’ll have the land and the goats for company—both offer a quiet kind of wisdom.
I live here with about 30 goats, who provide milk and bring a lot of joy to daily life. The bigger dream is to create a self-sufficient homestead—growing food, caring for animals, and living simply, all with gratitude and respect for God’s creation. I’ve spent years learning about permaculture, animal care, beekeeping, and old-fashioned crafts. But more than anything, I try to live a life of service and love, following the way of Christ.
This work is meaningful, but it’s also a lot of effort. That’s why I’m thankful for volunteers who want to share in it. If you feel drawn to simple living, and to being part of something rooted in faith and care for the land, this may be a good fit.
I’m looking for men who are spiritually grounded, curious about the world, and open to learning and helping. I’ve chosen to welcome only male volunteers to keep things simple, peaceful, and respectful in our shared space.
This land is still growing, but it’s already full of purpose and quiet beauty. If you feel called to be a part of it, I’d love to hear from you.
“But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” – Matthew 6:33

During your time here, you’ll be staying in my home—a peaceful, simple space. You’ll have your own cozy bed loft to rest and recharge after the day’s work. I provide hearty, home-cooked dinners, and if I’m not around during lunchtime, you’re welcome to enjoy leftovers or prepare something yourself with whatever’s available in the kitchen.
You’ll also have free access to fresh, raw goat milk and homemade goat milk kefir—rich in nutrients and straight from the source. It’s one of the daily blessings of living close to the animals.
When it comes to food, I follow a natural, ancestral-inspired diet focused on quality, local ingredients. I enjoy slow-cooked stews, barbecues, organic meats from nearby farms, and of course, dairy from my goats—cheese, milk, kefir, and yogurt are staples here. I also enjoy a variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables from the land or nearby growers.
Each morning starts with a good cup of coffee, shared in stillness or conversation—whatever the moment calls for.
I tend to avoid modern processed foods and stick to what’s nourishing and close to the earth. Besides some homemade bread and the occasional bit of rice, I don’t regularly include things like grains, beans, leafy greens, or nuts in my meals—I’ve found they’re often better suited for my goats! That said, I do enjoy treats like pizza, baked goods, or cookies now and then, as long as they’re made with real, wholesome ingredients.
This is a place where food is more than fuel—it’s part of the healing, part of the rhythm, and part of the joy of life. If you enjoy meaningful meals, natural living, and a slower pace, you’ll feel right at home here.Algo mais...

She stayed long enough to really learn the ins and outs of caring for my goats—and I mean all of them. She single-handedly took care of over 40 goats, including 6 bottle babies, and managed to track their feed intake while keeping an eye out for anything unusual. She always let me know if something… read more
