  My roommate and I, both professionals in our 30s and 40s, are deeply committed to personal growth and contributing to our local culture. We're excited to share our experiences and learnings with you. 💼🚀
  
  Living in Madeira, you'll get to immerse yourself in the rich and diverse local culture. From helping to prepare different cuisines in our kitchen to exploring the stunning landscapes in your free time, you'll get a true taste of life on this beautiful island. 🥘🏞️
  
  And let's not forget about the community. We're actively involved in local initiatives as well as the digital nomad community. You'll have the opportunity to meet and interact with the locals and nomads a like, understand their way of life, and contribute to the community. 🤝

  Ajuda

  We're on the hunt for a fun-loving traveller who can help us with cooking (you must be good at it), gardening, and house chores. In exchange for 4 hours of work per day, 5 days a week, you'll get to crash in this awesome house with me and another cool roommate, plus we'll take care of paying for groceries, plus transportation to the grocery store!
  
  Tasks:
  
  1. Cooking🍲: 1 Gluten-Free meal (either lunch or dinner), with leftovers and snacks for the rest of the day. I like to have a variety of cuisines, and prefer healthy meals that include meat, vegetables, fruit, salad, and possibly rice or Gluten-Free baking! (I am NOT vegetarian :) ). You will be responsible for grocery shopping and also keeping track of receipts and entering the amount spent on a spreadsheet.
  
  2. Cleaning🏡:
  -Load the dishwasher every evening and unload the dishwasher every morning.
  -Sweep kitchen every day after cooking.
  -Clean the terrace with water 1x a week on Monday.
  -Clean bathrooms 1x a week on Tuesday.
  -Sweep and mop the floors 1x a week on Wednesday.
  
  3. Gardening🌺🌱:
  -Water plants daily.
  -Sweep up the leaves 1x a week on Thursday.
  
  Besides those, there will be other small items here and there. Regular chores like sending out mail, taking out the trash, etc. But there is also room for creativity: for example, one workawayer did a mural on the property!
  
  We want someone to keep our home clean and comfy. We're all about good vibes and respect, and we can't wait to welcome someone who's on the same wavelength. 🌈Me and my roommate can't wait to meet you! 🎉
  
  PS: My roommate and I are working most of the day, so we need someone who can follow this schedule independently. Also, because we are both working, we want someone who enjoys going out on their own and meeting new people. We can connect you with digital nomad communities here in Madeira, like hiking, Coworking, community lunches, festivals, music events etc, but it is up to you to go to those independently (bus station in front of the house, ebike available).

  Acomodação

  You will stay in a house with me and my roommate (We stay on the top floor, and you will stay on the bottom floor). You will have your own private room with a bed and work desk (The Wifi works well from your room). There is also a lock on your door, so you will have your own privacy. Also, you will have your own bathroom and shower, which is located on the bottom floor.
  
  Our home is a 25-minute walk from Funchal city center. There is also a bus option to the city center (right next door), which takes about 6 minutes and costs 1.95 EUR.

  Madeira is a Portuguese island in the Atlantic ocean, which is also famous for its large digital nomad community.🏝️
  
  When you're not helping us with cooking, gardening, and house chores, there's plenty of time to get connected with the digital nomad community and go hiking, swim in the ocean, visit the Monte garden or the botanic gardens, try coasteering (cliff jumping), canyoning, or attending music events or festivals! 🌳🌊
  
  Public transport is readily available, making it easy for you to explore the island at your own pace. Local buses in the city cost 1.95 EUR, and buses outside of the city cost 5 EUR. 🚌🏄‍♀️
  
  PS: minimum expected stay is 1 month!
  
  NOTE! THIS PLACE IS NOT FOR YOU IF: you do not like to do chores independently and on a schedule, or if you do not like to explore places independently! Also, the island is very hilly, so you need to be either willing to walk the hills or take the bus. Also, there aren't really sand beaches on Madeira. The island is very rocky! If you are coming to the island for sand beaches, this is not the place!
