  Our company dedicated to the production and export of natural rubber (Hevea brasiliensis) plans to offer leisure, sports and outdoor activities to diversify its business income and boost the influx of visitors, tourists and economic activity in the area in general.
  
  Currently four people work in our project and a digital marketing company which provides us with external help; the general administrator, who coordinates all the activities to be carried out; two people in charge of executing the actions and customer service; a facility maintenance manager.
  
  The volunteer will only help in tasks related to marketing, process improvement and implementation of new services in the tourism area of ​​the farm.
  
  Specifically, it is proposed in the company to generate a division of hospitality and sports practices, specifically Glamping can be named, given that due to the type of place and productive activity it is provided for this type of service within the farm.
  
  Within the project related to rural tourism, it is proposed to have options for practicing
  sports, sports facilities will be built to provide this service and it will be contracted or staff will be trained so that they can guide or instruct people who want to practice sports.
  
  Some of the amenities that are intended to be built are also some trails for be able to practice bird watching, orchids, tilandsias, etc. in general its own flora and fauna of the place. These trails will also be used for the practice of some sports such as mountain biking and jogging.
  
  The volunteer will have the opportunity to exchange and interact with local people, both in sports teaching as well as getting into the knowledge of local agriculture, in an exchange of learning and teaching local people, within the crops that are being started with the new project are: honey, cocoa, rambutan, coconuts and avocados.
  
  As well I face a huge problem: in Guatemala rivers are highly polluted by plastic waste. Bottles, pieces of foam, bags, and containers.
  I love my country and would like to manage to clean this part of the river with 2 purposes:
  • If we manage to do so, provide an example : make it easier for other local administrations and Finca owners to do the same, following the same methods.
  • give access to locals to the banks of the river, would be highly appreciated by them
  I’m looking for a studend ingeneer, interested in plastic waste cleaning projects.
  
  I will make some of my employees available to help with this project, if needed.
  The volunteer lives in a single room here in the house here, in the Finca, with full access to the whole estate. The volunteer can come in couple if they prefer.
  We have a very good wifi access and out of the Finca a good internet access everywhere.
  The Finca is out of the main tourist circuits but only 2hrs from Atitlan, and Antigua.
