Hello! We are a small fun hostal located in a fisherman's village called Salinas Grandes on the pacific coast about 30km away from Leon, Nicaragua. The hostal is located right on a long secluded very beautiful beach. 10 minutes away from the hostal Is the river and Juan Venado nature reserve. There you will find a bird estuary and plenty of mangroves. It is an excellent spot to surf for all levels and to learn spanish. we are looking for volunteers who would help with the hostal. it is a chill and relaxed vibe and you must be comfortable with immersing yourself in local culture. The tasks are very simple and we are looking for someone with a fun attitude and friendly personality .

Immerse yourself in local culture, learn spanish and day to day life of a nicaraguaouin. learn to surf and possibilities of turtle rescue!
The volunteers would welcome guests and once they are settled in show them around the place, refill water and water plants, feed the ducks, close kitchen at night and help with general maintenance of the place
We are also currently trying to accomplish a few side projects.. If you are interested in helping you are welcome to do so but it is not requiered of you those projects are :painting murals( artists are most welcome) and building and decorAting a few spaces at the hostal

we are offering free accommodation in dorm, hammocks or tent as well as free use of surfboards, bikes and boogie boards.
We are 20 km away from Leon a lively city where you can see cathedrals, learn salsa dancing ,go trekking up a volcano or volcano boarding .you can also explore telica volcano and see lava. In Salinas Grandes you can surf, bike, boat, fish, horseback riding and much more !
