Have you got a passion for making a difference and have a few weeks to volunteer? We are looking for dedicated, enthusiastic, passionate people to help out.
We are a not for profit hotel and surf school with a sister home and a sister community project. As an overall foundation, we strive to change the lives of the disadvantaged children and young people in our care, through education, empowerment and community involvement. Here, we focus mainly on our surf school and hotel facilities.
SURFERS AND SWIMMERS (1-2 volunteers needed)
We're looking for experienced surfers and swimmers who can work alongside our team with surf classes as well as with our youth who visit weekly to swim and surf. Based on the coast of Mexico in an impoverished area, it's an exciting place to be full of hope and opportunity with the community!
- Training and certificates like lifeguard training are bonuses
- Ideal if English and Spanish speaking
- Will help to promote surf school and swim classes within the general public
- Experienced surfer and experience with teaching surf/swim to youth
- Is capable to give surf lessons to youth and hospitality guests
- Must be over 21 years old and willing to commit for a minimum of 2 months.

HOSPITALITY (1-2 volunteers needed)
We're also looking for general helpers around the hotel who can support us with taking care of the guests, maintenance, housekeeping and admin. We're especially hoping for those with experience who can help to bring new ideas and advice to our organisation.
- Hospitality experience
- Check in and greet guests
- General cleaning and maintenance of our property
- Grounds supervision
- Administration work
- Photography/blog writing/video content is a bonus! Assistance with promotions are much needed.
- Will assist with gathering content for social media and promotions
- Must be over 21 years old and willing to commit for a minimum of 2 months.

MAINTENANCE (1 volunteer needed)
We're seeking general a maintenance voluntunteer to help across all projects. This includes carpentry, fixing doors/locks, fixing a rood, and general maintaining of the property and grounds.
- Carpentry projects
- General maintenance and repairs across the property and ground
- Assist in maintaining the grounds and gardens
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience in carpentry or general maintenance
- Conversational in either English or Spanish
- Valid ‘Working with Children Check’ / Criminal Records Check prior to placement.
- Must be over 21 years old

This project exists as an extension of our children’s refuge and community centre in Tapachula, home to 20+ children and supporting more than 50+ youth aged between 8 and 21. We work to provide safe spaces to all youth, offering them opportunities, education, health & wellbeing support and much more!
This project opened its doors in 2018 as a not-for-profit hotel, surf school and community outreach project. We work to spread our message of love, life and hope to the Villa del Sol community.Projetos que envolvem crianças

Ajuda
At our beachside space, we are looking for everything from keen surfers, artists and creative minds, maintenance/construction workers, gardeners, and everything else in between!
We will provide you with a room in our volunteer apartment.
Due to the nature of our organisation,we ask for our volunteers to provide a full police clearance check from their home country, which is part of our wider application, and participate in our COVID-19 vaccination policy.

We offer a bed in our shared volunteer accommodation, with a shared bathroom. You will also free use our fully fitted outdoor kitchen, laundry room, swimming pool, and billiards table. We also offer surf lessons and boards at a discounted price to enjoy in your free time.
