  Hello, I am Maribel, I live in the Huayocari town, I have three children and many challenges. My partner, after a few years in Europe, returned looking to rebuild his life in some corner of the majestic Sacred Valley of the Incas that he had recently discovered in distant lands; despite the fact that he had dedicated the best years of his life to committedly accompanying his rural population. Sometimes it happens that everyday life absorbs us so much that our surroundings go unnoticed. In that search he came to Ollantaytambo, a charming town, where I grew up, and with which he was captivated, like many. During those years I did my professional internships in the district commune; and upon completing my studies in administration, I decided to bet on my great passion, nature, which led me to undertake; That was more than fourteen years ago.
  
  Two souls who along the way found love and inspiration to create and develop a significant, noble project that, in parallel, generated sustenance. Since we met, we committed ourselves vigorously to this common dream, first the BIOMUSEUM- and after a few years, the guest house. With the arrival of our children, Illariy, Antonino and Sebastián, we forced ourselves to take a conscious pause in our initial commitment. The pandemic and the country's political ups and downs, in addition to hitting us hard like many, made us postpone restarting activities that we are now resuming, in a new perspective that merges our interests in nature, cooking, massage and culture. Despite everything, even now, we weigh the uncertainty of interrupting this decision, due to a sudden and serious health challenge that life confronts us with; but we are sure we will know how to defeat.
  
  A family space surrounded by agricultural fields that offers not only a place to stay; but rather, connect with nature, where tranquility can be breathed and, most importantly, the excitement of sharing with the family. We are fascinated by the cultural baggage that each visitor can bring to our hearts. A refuge where it is a pleasure to arrive, leaving the stridency of everyday life and that desire to feel good at home, we want to share with those who visit us. We will be happy to share our home in the heart of the Sacred Valley as hosts. We will know how to make you feel at home and share our favorite places. Our goal is to become your travel companion and make your stay an authentic experience. We are an hour and a half from Cusco, half an hour from the Ollantaytambo train station, Pisac or the Salineras de Maras.

  The strategic location of our guest house in the town of Huayocari, which is in the very heart of the Sacred Valley; hour and a half from the enigmatic city of Cusco and just forty minutes from the main tourist attractions, it offers the opportunity to hike, take excursions, visit Machu Picchu, go to Rainbow Mountain and more during the weekends. At night, very close, 15 minutes by bus, is Urubamba or Calca where you can make friends, go out to dinner or have a coffee.
  
  If you decide to stay with us you will have the opportunity to experience the local culture, enjoy the tranquility of its impressive landscapes, be surrounded by Quechua farmers, its history, the nearby towns and its picturesque markets, its food, endless hidden gems to discover. And of course, your Spanish will improve enormously thanks to the lessons we can share in exchange and practice with local people.
  
  And it could not be any other way, Peru is recognized for its exquisite gastronomy and we commit to valuing it and sharing it with our visitors. In this conviction we generate a space dedicated to the exchange and learning of local cuisine that is reserved for a weekend, prior coordination and involves the contribution of basic inputs.
  
  Working on our self-sustainability through small animal husbandry and garden projects in a sustainable manner will not only allow us to experience these tasks in a concrete way but will also help us understand how to use resources in an environmentally friendly manner.
  
  Our proposal is rooted in the enhancement of cultural and natural biodiversity. It is important for us to share the work of ancestral families who until today are dedicated to preserving the genetic variability of the potato in very remote communities and its enriching potential. You will be able to learn how this ancient culture has endured for thousands of years. This has a cost. If you are interested in it, we can arrange a conscious trip, knowing how this impacts local people and the environment.

  Live in the impressive Sacred Valley of Cusco while you get to know deep Peru and give meaning to your trip, improve your Spanish!
  
  We want to involve volunteers to grow our proposal and encourage reading, languages and values in children in the area. We will be happy to have one or two Workawayers to help us with various tasks. We offer accommodation and language learning exchange, an excellent opportunity for those who want to improve their Spanish skills. Minimum commitment: five weeks, but preferably three months.
  
  We are looking for people passionate about digital marketing to join us. If you are a creator of web content, blogs and articles that show travel destinations and unique experiences compatible with our proposal. If managing social networks and creating the content calendar is your forte. You can produce photographs, graphics and videos useful for marketing. Or creating engaging text and captions for social media posts using keywords that facilitate ranking, encourage engagement, and improve click-through rates is your hobby. We will be happy to have your support.
  
  Without going to extremes, we need to have someone who loves cleanliness, order and plants to guarantee a good presentation for a smooth service in the small guest house with just three rooms, not many common or garden areas, but with much to do.
  
  If you are an animal lover, this is your opportunity to experience their breeding and care; We have spaces reserved to implement a small farm of guinea pigs, rabbits and chickens.
  
  If DIY is your thing, you can unleash your creativity, imagination and talent to carry out a project, decorate, paint or maintain; thus, improving the image of the facilities. We have a small workshop with many household tools. We try to be self-sufficient, do everything with our own hands and recycle.
  
  Yes, another world is possible! Encouraging reading, languages and values in children is essential to achieving that change that is so elusive and that we all want. Activity that takes up one or two hours at most in the afternoon, with small groups of children from the town. Contributions of books, recreational games or other educational materials that enrich our library or contribute to the development of creativity in workshops with children are welcome.
  
  There is a common living room and dining room with good internet. Internet is not so good in your own room. Coming with your own laptop IS MANDATORY.

  I need to strengthen spoken English and in the same way interest children in language learning. My partner is more inclined towards French and is also interested in achieving greater confidence when speaking. We are willing to share Quechua and Spanish in exchange sessions.

  Acomodação

  In exchange for 25 hours of help per week, you will have a private third-floor room with two beds that may be shared if there is another workawayer in the same period. There is a shared bathroom with a hot shower that must always be kept clean. Support tasks, although they can be organized as best suits you, must guarantee 25 hours of support per week. It is possible to accumulate hours if you wish. Normally the activities start at 8:30 a.m. m. after breakfast and we had lunch around 1:30 p.m. m. After the lunch break, the tasks continue. Meals are simple and healthy as much as possible, dinner is more basic. We almost always use local products and prefer seasonal ones. The water is at your discretion from a filter outlet. If you consider what is provided insufficient, you can supplement it at your own expense. Lunch and dinner are preferably brought together as a family, while breakfast can be taken at your own pace. The preparation of meals; as well as washing dishes, cleaning and tidying the kitchen after each service is everyone's responsibility. There is no dining room on Saturday and Sunday, except for some eventuality or specific coordination. You can also use the kitchen. There is a notebook to record the activities carried out and hours of support.

  Huayocari is a safe and quiet town located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Perfect to enjoy the silence and fresh air. It has beautiful countryside landscapes guarded by impressive mountains. At night the constellation of stars in a fascinating clear sky is a spectacle that sometimes becomes threatening. Very close, there are other towns where you can visit on foot or by bicycle and you can shop. There are numerous hiking alternatives in the area.
  
  The main track between Cusco and Ollantatambo (gateway to Machu Picchu) connects larger towns such as Pisaq, Calca and Urubamba or also Maras and Chinchero. There is frequent bus service with reasonable costs. On Wednesdays you can get fresh fruits and vegetables at the typical Urubamba market. The Chinchero and Pisac markets offer mostly crafts. Visiting the impressive Salineras is an obligatory step on the route to Moray in Maras. Forty minutes separate us from Ollantaytambo, from where you connect to reach Machu Picchu by train.
  
  In an hour and a half by bus you will be in Cusco, a mythical and enigmatic city. A travel center, very original and authentic, but with all the comforts for visitors and expatriates. The city offers endless possibilities to discover, visit Inca remains and immerse yourself in local culture. It's easy to get in touch with locals and practice your Spanish. You can explore the city on foot since Cusco is a small city.
