  Hi there!
  
  Welcome to our wonderful healing project situated in a natural reserve near the Atlantic coast in Portugal, just between Lisbon and Faro. We are a Retreat center in progress - in the future Yoga Retreats and more will take place here on the land. Originally from Germany, we are: Sabine & Marcus with our 3 kids Matheo, Lennard, Romy.
  We would love to share our beautiful home with you.
  
  We bought this amazing spot of 4,8 hectares with 2 houses, a wealth, spring and want to turn it into a healing center in line with permaculture principles to create a sustainable site to heal people, grow food and generally be self-sufficient! This place is paradise and it wants to be filled with love and life.
  
  We all come from different sectors of business life and decided to leave it and follow our hearts.
  
  The project is still in its early stages, although we have already set up 5 rooms which we're currently renting out a bathhouse, outside kitchen, a greenhouse, many fruit trees and just finished our beautiful yoga platform. Our intention is to host retreats and offer the land to help promote healing, growth and ultimately a more loving, peaceful way of life.
  
  We are in the process of designing the site to maximise the use of its natural features. This is a very exciting time where we have the opportunity to be creative with our visions for what we want to achieve! This would be a particularly good time for anyone with permaculture experience to join us in planning how to organise the land with us together.
  
  We are situated 10 min away of the beautiful, untouched Atlantic coast with its wonderful beaches to chill, surf (or learn it here), stay a night and watch the sundowner and breathtaking stars. 400m away from our land we have a little village with 2 nice, authentic Portuguese cafes where you can meet the locals, their food and drinks. Also 5km to Sao Luis, with its markets, cafes, food stores, etc.
  
  If you’re looking for a quiet place in nature to recharge your batteries you right at Pachawa. It’s a place that invites to deeply relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. It’s a place where your soul can breathe and you can let go. Its located In Alentejo what is known for its slow and simple way of living and this energy surrounds this place.

  First of all; Nature and silence to regain grounding and feel the presence of mother earth inside of you. Taking part in building a space like this can result in plenty of wonderful contacts, a lot of fun and if you are open to it a life-changing experience.
  
  We enjoy having healthy meals together, sit around the fire or have a BBQ and enjoy time together. If you want you are welcome to join us in a meditation, yoga session, dynamic meditation, reiki session or just a day on the beach on the weekends. Just feel free to come and join.

  Ajuda

  We are looking for a permaculture person who want to start a project from scratch so if you have any skills in it get in touch. You can bring in your experiences, learnings and decide with us what and how we do it. So Outside tasks would include general gardening tasks - clearing and mulching land, digging, planting herbs/veg/trees, pruning plants etc.
  
  Additionally we look for woodworkers to help building our decks, pergolas, mezzanines, outdoor kitchen, outdoor toilet and shower and maintenance/building extensions for the existing house. We also want to construct a yurt area so some special carpentry help will be required at some point.
  
  You will work about 5 hours a day, 5 days a week, in exchange for food and accommodation

  You will sleep in your own cosy accomodation, in our case a cosy Volkswagen Van which is turned into a camper. for us its important that you have your own space but still work in a team.
  In summer you can also take your sleeping bag, go in one of our hammocks and have a nice sleep under millions of stars.

  Alentejo area is such a beautiful place. It's mainly natural with lots of great walking tracks, great beaches all along the wild Atlantic coast, surf beaches, good spots for fishing, swimming and generally being outside. The area around Sao Luis also has its own micro climate so even during the winter stays warmer than elsewhere.
  
  Troviscais, the tiny town 400 m away from our land has 2 authentic cafes where you can meet locals as well as work aways from other projects around.
  
  Nearby towns like Sao Luis are a bit larger and you find Sunday Hippie markets, music sessions, etc.
  
  Around 15 min drive is Milfontes right on the beach and a beautiful coastal walkway along the Atlantic. Here you can find pizza, pasta, laundry, bars, drinks, small festivals, etc. and in summer holiday period you could even have a traffic jam downtown ;-)
  
  We are situated about a 2 hour drive from Lisbon. You can also get a bus which takes around 3 hours in total to Cercal, or a train and we come to pick you up in Odemira. From Faro you take a 2 hour drive.
  
  This is the ideal spot for experiencing some back to basics rural Portugal living, so please come and give us a hand to start and create this sacred space from scratch.
