I'm a permaculture farmer with a home base in Ubud, Bali. I started my farm a year ago and have transformed the plot from an unkempt quarter acre into a functioning farm with goats, ducks and chickens. We're use the principles of permaculture and sustainable living to create a conscious community to share what we've learned.
Recently we have decided to focus on medicinal goods - primarily encompassing teas, brews (cold brews and kombuchas) with a strong focus on propagating indigenous herbs and medicines.Tipos de ajuda e oportunidades de aprendizado

PERMACULTURE FARM IN BALI
We are a quarter acre plot of land in the middle of the rice fields in Ubud, which uses elements and principles of permaculture to create a scaleable, edible and fully integrated landscape. The Farm is currently host to 4 goats, 2 rescue dogs, muscovy and Bali runner ducks, local chickens and aquaculture.
One of the main goals of the farm is to be an example of small scale sustainable living and creating symbiotic relationships between plants and animals.
We also have a big focus on community and teaching people about sustainable farming and lifestyles. We are mindful of resources on the farm and encourage minimum waste by putting systems into place where resources can be used efficiently.
The farm has multiple projects going on at a time, some of our next big focuses include: More vegetable/edible production, New potting shed, Improved goat and chicken systems and rainwater harvesting system upgrade.
Our days will start at 7:30am with fruit, coffee and planning of the day from Monday - Friday. Weekends are off
Typically we will get out to the farm by 8:00am and work for a couple of hours before coming in for breakfast, then back out to the farm for another couple of hours and we wrap up by about 1:00/2:00pm.
Hours may be split throughout the day depending on the weather and projects.
Total amount of work per day is about 5hrs.
As a volunteer you will be fed 3 times a day with locally sourced produce as well as harvests from the farm.
There is a $5 (70,000IDR) charge per person per day. This will cover all of your meals and accommodation at our farm villa.
We have a minimum stay period of 2 weeks so you will be able to get a better understanding of the processes in place and a good immersion into creating a more sustainable lifestyle on this beautiful tropical island.
Helping on the farm will be a variety of daily tasks including: plant/nursery care, composting, animal care, building, harvesting and planting.
Most kind of help and skills are welcomed here. We'd love to have you come be a part of our little community!Idiomas
